    Dr. Emm V should have been nicer to her co-workers, having just woke up in a shoebox at 4 1/2 inches tall from the shrinking virus, she realized what a mistake that was, her lab assistant eyed her with revenge in mind as a syringe was prepared for her, small gauged but could be deadly in her situation.

      Revenge is quite the drug~. The vindication of victory! The domination of one’s rivals! But like all narcotics, is better when taken in moderation.

        @mrgoblinging7 To Quote, Revenge is the hateful need for justice against bad behavior or wrongful treatment by others, a punishment of judgment and possible execution of a lynch mob or personal vendetta, it is better to forgive and forget than to regret one’s actions in the heat of anger, to be at peace with, or fuel a fire that never stops.
        “All that most maddens and torments; all that stirs up the lees of things; all truth with malice in it; all that cracks the sinews and cakes the brain; all the subtle demonisms of life and thought, all evil, to crazy Ahab, were visibly personified, and made practically assailable in Moby Dick. He piled upon the whale’s white hump the sum of all the general rage and hate felt by his whole race from Adam down; and then, as if his chest had been a mortar, he burst his hot heart’s shell upon it.” ~ Melville’s Moby Dick (referred to in more than one Star Trek movie, the wraith of Kahn, first contact, and IV.)

          @giant-me That is why when I take revenge, I make sure to do it in cold blood. Take my time to calm down and see if their crimes against me are really that bad when I’m not actively pissed off.

            @mrgoblinging7 Yep, cooling off against anger is the best, once cooled we are rational and reasonable again, able to solve a problem at hand. I have noticed the degree my art expresses mental and emotional issues I’m working through, very much so. I’d rather do this here than go to therapy. 🤣 🤣 thoughtfully: I hope it helps others viewing as well though.

                @tiny-ivy me too, whence why I don’t have any tattoos, or piercings or like blood tests, in a way this is me facing that fear.

                  @giant-me

                  tattoos don’t bother me, since I know they only stay on the surface. Shallow needles are ok. They’re painful though!

                  What I hate is the deep, lingering Novocaine needles at the dentist, and having my blood drawn. There’s something about the violation of the inside / outside separation that fundamentally scares me.

                  There’s a recurring trope in the MMF/m sizey scifi novel that I wrote that plays with this fear. The main character constantly crosses this boundary.
