@tiny-ivy That’s very true! I do think it’s a very innate feeling as well though. Even just entertaining the idea in my mind makes me feel gross- actively engaging with it online or IRL would be a bit more painful. It’s so important to respect people’s boundaries!

Oh dear. I need to start posting while drunk more.
We need a SW drinking game, fictional or meta. Sounds like a fun concept. Should probably get some thimbles though.

Oh, that makes perfect sense. It’s another one of the reasons I hesitate, actually. There are definitely kinks involved every time I write, but sometimes they’re hidden behind a wall of buildup. I guess I enjoy it as a payoff, rather than instant gratification. I think I fall almost purely in femgaze for that reason alone lol
I’m sorry if I came across as sounding like people here wouldn’t enjoy the buildup. Quite the opposite - the buildup is everything to me! I feel the exact same way you do, so now I’m even more interested.
I was more implying that there will undoubtedly be readers who sexualize the content. If what you’re writing is important or therapeutic to you and you’re not comfortable with people doing that, then that’s totally understandable. I know most of the regulars here would be kind and respectful, but I think it’s good to be mindful or lurkers who might not be as considerate.

RE: Disaster and confrontation
@Olo To add on to what others are saying, I feel like “femgaze” stuff tends to go out of its way to really describe the giant and things like his status, personality, level of attraction, etc. That tends to be ignored in “malegaze” content, which is understandable since the appeal comes from the shrunken woman.
And that’s not to say femgaze creators just focus on making the giant hot. There can be a lot of variation- the context and motive is what’s truly important. He could be a shy, nerdier guy desperate to have a certain woman to himself. Maybe he’s wealthy, powerful, and handsome- he doesn’t NEED to do the whole shrinking thing, but he does it purely because it’s enjoyable for him. Or maybe he’s just an average dude that’s just trying to help the best he can.
Of course, this can also apply to superficial things like hair and eye color and stuff. I love being able to visualize what the author is intending. But you can definitely leave physical descriptors open to interpretation as long as you convey things through his attitude and relationships.

RE: Luxurious Enclosures
@SmolChlo I wonder if he went home and looked it up online out of morbid curiosity.
If I encountered a fetish in the wild I know I wouldn’t be able to help myself.

RE: Disaster and confrontation
@miss-lillipants I prefer my giants to be conventionally attractive as well, but I have read some good stories that make the giant more on the “unhygienic/unattractive” side, I suppose. Seems to be a common humiliation aspect across the size community. Again, not really my thing, but I wanted to acknowledge the variety of stories out there.
Plus, beauty is subjective! Which is why I think some writers will leave out descriptions. They’ll imply the giant is attractive and what that means is up to you and your preferences. I do think there is a benefit to going into detail about physical descriptions though. Things like body hair, muscle mass, etc. obviously influence interactions on such a small scale.
(I totally agree with you on the ugly giant trope. I’ll hear about a piece of media that has giants in it and go to look and they’re definitely more on the monstrous side. I mean I’m not expecting the real world to cater to my strange little interests but c’mon.

At some point you have to wonder if she’s doing it on purpose.
(I mean I know I would.)

RE: Disaster and confrontation
@Olo I actually think almost all of these points wrap back around to the appeal of “femgaze” content. Like I said, I understand why some authors will leave out descriptions but I personally prefer the details and how they influence the scenario- and it seems like a lot of women in this thread agree (and men for that matter!).
Typically “malegaze” stories will focus on the attributes of the tiny woman, and “femgaze” of the giant man. Though I do think women are more likely to go into describing both, since we typically put more thought into our own looks.
And while it seems shallow to focus so much on appearances, it does make a difference no matter how you like your size content! In my experience it’s not even that I have one “type” of look I like to imagine. For example, I like my meaner giants to have a more pretty/beautiful man appearance. For the opposite, I’m into a more masculine and rugged look, like a true gentle giant. Idk why this is…

RE: Demolished From Inside
@Olo Ok, new kink unlocked: giants wearing some sort of uniform/suit/gear. Tinies can tease all they want and they’re going to have a hard time getting them out.

RE: Language barrier
@miss-lillipants I’ve actually been playing around with a similar story idea where the tiny doesn’t speak at all. They do understand the giant, but there’s still the obstacle of her trying to communicate. It creates a lot of interesting scenarios and I’ve really enjoyed brainstorming for it.
Now I actually have to write it.

RE: Taste The Spread
@Olo I LOVE the idea of leaving tiny kiss marks on a giant’s face!

RE: What are your favorite types of relationships to see in size content?
@Visitor6996 I love the “naughtier” material for married couples as well. It just makes those scenarios so much crueler.
And YES. Absolutely. The stereotypical jock/frat/bro-ey type dudes make the BEST mean giants. Handsome, arrogant, inconsiderate, playful…
And you can either go all in on them being a big bully, OR you can just make them a tease (but a big old softy at heart).
Aw man, now we need more of this very specific type of content. Gonna start messing with this idea a bit more.

RE: What are your favorite types of relationships to see in size content?
@Nyx said in What are your favorite types of relationships to see in size content?:
But it can also be interesting to see how two strangers would react to size differences. For example, a man riding home on the subway and finding a shrunken woman hiding underneath one of the seats. How does he react? How does she? Can they learn to trust each other? I like going through those questions, regardless of whether the scenario is gentle or cruel.
This is such a great point to make! One of the most thrilling aspects of size content is that first introduction. Of course, you can write any type of relationship to have any response, but with strangers you could be in for anything and you won’t know what to expect.
