Myself I like being the larger or one that shrinks the other person. I’m not really into being giant per say. More I like the fantasy of a shrunken or tiny woman. Its just fun escapism for me.
As for being the Shrunken. I can see scenarios were that wouldn’t be so bad or even quite enjoyable. But it isn’t my preference. I struggle with so many things in real life that make me feel small already. I don’t want to feel small in my fantasies.

I have long been honest with myself about my sw writing. It’s straight male power fantasy when it gets right down to it. The women are always gorgeous shapely physically fit. One or more usually becomes obsessed with being the male characters sexual plaything. Why do I include these elements, because the first member of my reading audience is me and that’s what I want to read. I am well aware my female characters are overly idealized, it is fantasy writing after all.
But I do include (Depending on the story) elements that are slightly or fully out of my interests in vain hopes to appeal to others in the fandom. I am strangely not interested in Lesbian acts, but I often include such things for example. Likely why I have so little F/f content in my stories. But to grow a audience one needs more then their wants on show. There are some subjects I just can’t get myself to include, people like what people like and people don’t like what they don’t like and I am a person after all.
I myself don’t find male genitalia attractive. On it’s own I wouldn’t look for it. But I do enjoy a good tiny lady hugging a hard cock image. Its part of the fantasy for me. I do look for such content as well as the lovelies in cradling or coiled hands or arching arousingly from a giant’s mouth.
As for describing the male character, I tend to give mostly vague descriptions I think. Hair color, body shape, fit or flabby. But not when the main is the male. I mean when was the last time you picked up something thinking to yourself about how you would describe what you look like. (I might have and forgotten, don’t at me bro 
)
Really, as should be expected we all have our own writing styles and image preferences. Be honest about what you do and don’t like, but I think we shouldn’t be dicks about either.

PS: On a side note, I hope no one is insulted but I don’t usually read others SW works. And it’s simply a personal thing where I worry I’ll steal something with out meaning to. Many of my started works from my earlier attempts at writing I found incorporated ideas from stories I had read. Likely why I haven’t completed them as they were other’s ideas in a way.
I am more then willing to hedge my bets and look at something if someone really thinks it might be down my alley. I just don’t want to be plagiarizing without realizing it. Hope that also makes sense to people. 
I honesty don’t think height is a factor. I noticed my interest very young. I always wanted to be bigger. Often using my action figures to play giant by myself. I was than the average size of kids my age in my neighborhood. I think I just liked the idea of being tall and powerful. That interest morphed into shrunken women in my early twenties or so.

I would think releasing a tiny into the wild would almost be a punishment. Little things that wouldn’t even be a consideration for us people would be deadly treats to tinies. As had been said a bird swooping down and nabbing them. Cats love to pouch on smaller creatures. Bug or spider bites that would be an irritation for a person could very possibly fill a tiny with deadly venom. Heck a big enough Gutter Snake could suck them down with a quick grab and a couple snaps.
Outside prized Tinies need to be kept within your direct presence. If you have troublesome Tiny you don’t worry about coming back alive, risk away.
And why do you all leave your Tinies naked? They look so cute in little uniforms and other sweet customs. Besides undressing can be delightful. Also, unsupportable things become looser. Well contained and looked after parts stay in better shapes.

She has a good home now. No more dodging cats or cowering under leaves from Crows and other hunting birds. Food is never a worry. Her water isn’t from puddles she happens upon.
As for treatment, her new caretaker isn’t always gentle. But he is never harmful. And really, his rough attentions makes her feel so satisficing excused. And usually, soft strokes as she cuddles to the giant comes afterward.

Interesting. I’ll likely listen to more though I worry the focus will be mainly on F/m. Which would just make sense since Aborigen did say that was their preference. Still, nice that they’re trying to get more representation of use out there.

Many of my story ideas come from seeing an image and it triggering an idea. More the pose and/or expression then anything else can get an idea flowing in my mind. So no, you’re not the only one.

@smolchlo I can’t say you wouldn’t end up down there at some point. Or, dipped in caramel like Olo suggests. As much as I like the idea of being a sweet giant caretaker, a Shrunken at my control to play with would just be too tempting for me to not try things with.
