“It’s Molly, and what do you mean?”

Chad lifted his card to let her have a peek. “I’m going all in.”

“No! I won’t let you bet with my life on the line. I have no idea what the others would do to me.”

“No worries babe, we got this in the bag.” Chad smiled on his turn to bet, “We’re all in.” Quiet tears flowed down Molly’s face as she was pushed towards the middle of the table.

As the cards we dealt, Chad’s optimism turned to dread. With the reveal, he watched as a woman across the table won her with a straight flush. She happily plucked up Molly and marched her around the table like an action figure for a few seconds before causing her to disappear in the recesses of her purse.

No matter the pleading or offers, Chad was unable to get her back and he was forced to go home with an empty wallet and heart.
