I’ve never used a dating app, but I suspect that growing up with porn that is not only easily accessible but also highly customizable encourages people to form inflexible preferences early, much earlier than they would had they experienced a wider range of possible partners in their formative years. Then dating apps come along and they feel obliged to specify a preference for each and every choice menu offered.

I’m waiting for the dating app that lets me specify on my profile: “I’m 5’9”, but I can make you feel 4"-tall when you want it."

@littlest-lily Your perspectives are precious precisely because they are relatively rare. I’ve seen enough of the straight-male sensibilities to last me a lifetime (in a pinch I can always consult myself).

@littlest-lily Curiously (or perhaps not), I pay more attention to just about any sort of content when I know (or suspect) that it was created by a woman. This tendency is amplified 20x when it comes to size content.
