In Greek mythology, there is a half-woman, half-snake named Echidna. Also, Lamia is often portrayed as a serpentine being. -
@giant-me I genuinely sympathize with Echidna personally. She meets a nice enough giant, they have a few kids, and she’s the queen of the universe for the short time her husband is in power.
Then Typhon gets trapped under a volcano, and all of her kids get killed by the kids of her husband’s jailers. And she doesn’t make a big fuss about it, or it would be one of the legends. Most likely, she is alone somewhere, morning all she lost, pretty sade.

@mrgoblinging7 Yeah, such a tragedy for her, bad guys/villains/ monsters always suffer the greatest comeuppance in the end, but heroes rise and fall too, and suffer loss as well in most myths, fairy and tall tales of old.
