Souvenir hunting
-
I’m traveling abroad and I wanted to take one of the local cuties home as a souvenir. Trying to shrink and capture people in public is not easy. I usually hide somewhere and shrink from a distance, and then rush quickly to grab my prize. My shrink ray shrinks people without their clothes so I also need to dispose of them somewhere.
It’s cold and wet here, so I should grab the little one while she’s still inside her pile of clothes. She’ll freeze if she crawls out and her naked body gets exposed to the low temperature. Worse, she might even trip and fall into a puddle! I hope my coat’s pockets are both warm enough and able to muffle her little screams…
It took me two attempts, the first one failed because someone got to my target before me. From the looks of it, a family member of the shrunken girl picked her up and took her with him. The look on his face as he held his naked miniature relative was amusing I guess, but damn I wanted to keep her… Oh well, good luck adjusting to your new life!
I successfuly managed to snag the second shrinkee and I’m pleased with how adorable she is! She doesn’t seem to understand a lot of english though, I hope I’ll be able to train her despite the language barrier

@Kondo Where did you find the little cutie? Depending on what nation she’s from, her language could be close enough to English for the language barrier to not be as big as you’d think.

@Mrgoblinging7 She’s from eastern europe so her native tongue is neither latin or germanic. I think she sounds exotic though, despite how her voice is now way more high-pitched and squeaky

@Kondo Then I would start small, pointing at an object and saying your word for it, move her into a specific position, and say the word for it. Something that helps with my non-English speaking coworkers is using hand motions to reinforce what I’m saying.
Another thing that can help you build a bond with your new pet is learning some of her language, even if you only get a few words or phrases. With a little effort, you two could one day hold entire conversations speaking every other word in the other’s language.
Naturally, if your relationship is less one between owner and companion and more one between toy and user, then I wouldn’t worry about what she’s saying.
