Story pitch

So inspired by another writer on a different forum where they linked mana to size use to much poof your 3 inches and powerless. So my story idea is like that but mana is self regenerative and everyone has the limits to there powers and limits and speed of regenerative. So you would have a world of giants and giantess true forces of nature right down to people fighting cockroaches to stay alive. Say the ultra wealthy have found a way to siphon off others mana levels keeping them on there persons as jewellery. Having gain so much size and power they believe themselves to be above the law only for certain individuals to be born as batteries they can’t shrink or grow but can store mana and siphon it naturally. So if a titian or such commits a crime they are sent out to arrest them as well as being hunted as they can be harnessed to supply an endless stream of mana. So they are both feared and desired never trusting as there greatest strength is also there greatest weakness. Have the story open as a new former titian try’s to flee each step they shrink burning more and more mana trying to escape but the more they push the more it seems to take going past buildings they use to tower above. To running down the street jumping cars to then the sidewalk dodging people to then dodging legs finally tripping only to have a large shadow fall across them. A average guy who people assume has bent down to tie his shoe slips a squirming body into a inner coat pocket before standing drawing out his phone and making a call. The titian now nothing but a toy in his hands ready to be delivered to a holding cell or his abode it all depends on the price.

2nd pitch again got the hook but no bait
So a lonely business man is hit on by an attractive woman at a bar she suggests that they to a local motel chain where for a price they can spend the night. He agrees upon getting there she pays and leads him to a room as they are getting frisky she notices that he’s slowly growing she panics and try’s to feel only to find she’s shrinking. The motel door bursts open and a tall striking woman strides in yelling she’s fbi and it’s a sting operation only to see the other woman in the man’s grasp. She is in turn shrunk the man finding out it was a scam from the start that the two women have been roaming the country shaking down lonely people for bribes and payouts. The moral being preds become prey.
Similar one where a branch of a large company run in a foreign land is thought to be defrauded the parent company but every investigation ends the same way with the investigator coming back claiming no fraud. A up and coming executive she’s it as her chance to rise up the ranks by showing she can get to the bottom of it hiring a investigator to root out the source he travels over to find the branch run by four women and a female in turn who they send off once he introduces himself and asks the check the books. They in turn drug him and try to pull the scam that’s worked many times before where they film the drugged investigator in a seemingly sexual misconduct scenario. Only to have the tables turned upon them as he shrinks them destroys the evidence of the deed after some minor threats and punishments recovering the incriminating evidence and leaving the innocent intern in charge till the company can send replacements. Reporting back to the executive to collect his reward while explaining to her how the branch was recently downsized and she will need to hire new employees to staff it.

If you’d still like to pursue some writing exercise, but having trouble with direction, you could consider doing a series of separate short stories set in a particular universe, rather than a single overarching story (which can come later if you figure something out).
