Melody was swimming along as usual, looking for something for breakfast. When suddenly, a hand descended into the water right at her.
“SHIT!” She screamed as she pulled every maneuver she knew to avoid getting got! She was looking for food, not to be it after all. But she was grabbed, and as she braced herself to end in someone’s jaws, is when she saw who grabbed her.
“BRUSE!? You scared me to death!” The tiny mermaid growled, but she couldn’t keep a smile off her face, just happy she wasen’t being eaten.
“Sorry Meledy, I thought you could see it was me.” The human said with an embarrassed grin on his face. “I was wondering if you wanted to join me for breakfast? I know it’s slim pickings this time of year for you, and you’ve complemented my looking before.”
“Sounds swell, just don’t put me in orange juice this time, a glass of water will do just fine.” The two of them laughed as he walked into his home by the lake.
