Giant Cop Game

Hey y’all. I’m kind of a lurker in the community but I’d like to talk more. But before I do that, does anyone know about this new game? From what I can tell, there’s a gargantuan cop preventing you from leaving this town and voice commands are a thing. Idk, I think it’s pretty cool. I’m also not great at talking, have you noticed?

@inkchild Yeah I just saw that myself. Looks really cool. I wonder if it would be playable in VR? And if so, would be awesome if it was multiplayer where someone plays as the thief and the other as the giant cop.

@seru I suppose one person could play this while the other plays the ‘Giant Cop: Justice Above All’ game? The rest is just down to your imagination.

@shardro We’re very aware of this game hehehe. I think he’s looking for more ways to play with me tiny So far VRchat has been the best option, which isn’t saying much

@jitensha It’s on my list of dream game dev projects! One day, a proper G/t VR sandbox. Mark my words, it shall happen!

@shardro Well if you need help with 3D textures, I’m your gal I actually have some good ideas for G/t related VR games, but I suck at 3D modeling lol.

@jitensha That would be awesome! 3D modelling’s the tough part though. I’m a game programmer by trade so I’ve got that part down. I’d tried my hand at various other disciplines but my modelling has always been… lucklustre. For now all my solo projects are 2D, but that’s gotta change eventually!

@shardro Hehe nice! Sergio is a programmer too and has a lot of experience in VR/AR so if you ever need help let us know! Now, where to find a 3D person lol

@inkchild I’m really amused that based on this thread, there are already two Giant Cop themed games.

Looking back, back in the day, there was a Giant Pet / God themed game called “Black & White.” It was a battle simulator and city building game of sorts with a magic system and a giant animal avatar with AI that you had to train. My fav part though was my giant god-hand that I could toss rocks and enemy villagers with. It had a wild physics engine, very creative controls for the time.

I would SO contribute to a Kickstarter for a dedicated G/t VR experience!

@tiny-ivy really? that sounds like a cool game, was the animal like a kaiju or a regular old animal?
