It’s short but I was right.

So this forum doesn’t have a [SPOILER] format to hide text, so I’ll just type a bit more so anything I reveal will be too far down for it to show up on the preview sidebar.
The only Sizey scene was Emma shrinking part way out of her clothes after Sam ridicules her. She doesn’t purge to shrink, so the implication is that she might be able to control her size by inducing certain emotions. We’ll have to wait until Season 2 to learn more.

I’m not fond of the purging either, but I’d rather watch that than watch someone make Emma feel like shit in order for her to shrink.

@Olo true enough, maybe it’s easier for me to enjoy as-is since I haven’t watched the show yet (other than the few videos and discussions I’ve seen here and online), so I’m not as invested in her character.
Shrinking being tied to an emotional state has always been a favorite of mine, of course the showrunners went with “negative emotions == shrinking”, but that doesn’t really need to be the case.

@foreverlurk I’m confident they’ll find a way to make it less awkward in the next season. Everyone else’s powers just work, so I expect that will be a sign of her “supe development.”

@Olo Highly likely she’ll have better control of her shrinking in S2. I will say, did people like the stuff we got from this?
I did. Rare to get this stuff on a mainstream show and look good. Helps the character is likeable.
Also the long wait for S2 is gonna hurt. late 2024-2025 I think depending on the SAG strike.
