Hi there! So I had an idea just because I’m more of a phone user than a computer user when it comes to talking.
What if there was a Discord specifically for this site? I didn’t really know where to send this honestly since its just a suggestion.

The only reason I bring this up is because I already have like four conversations going on this site, but since I’ve been using my phone, I don’t get any sort of notification, and I just have to keep checking compulsively to see if anyone has replied.

Sorry if this is a dumb idea since I know there are a lot of size discord servers out there, and also finding people to run an actual server like that can be a little hard at times.

Though I’m also sort of a lurker wherever I go. I just sort of thought it sounded like a good idea. Okay I’ll stop rambling and abscond like usual lol

As a regular discord user, I find this as a good idea! But it should be only an extension of this place, publishing certain content so people keep visiting the forum, unless the community asks for more.
Maybe waiting a bit more would be good? Let the site grow a bit more.
But hey, I won’t be able to make it alone. So if any people would like to help we could create a team.

We would definitely need a team to handle creating and moderating a discord, so it might be sometime…however we are looking into options on how to apply push notifications for mobile users! Hopefully that will make chat easier

It’s pretty inactive these days. I wouldn’t mind either running it for you or passing over control.

@normhorseman Well I’ll be honest and say that though I love Discord, I’m still more of a lurker anyways. I only own one server myself, but it only has 7 people anyways(private friend group one that I basically forced my friends into using for Discord calls.)
Though maybe if I’m able to get my schoolwork under control I could try and help you out with it some if nothing else. I definitely will be joining though!

@normhorseman That’s a very generous offer, thank you! I personally don’t know a thing about running Discord, so it hasn’t been on my radar. My husband and I have instead been looking at options for implementing mobile notifications on this forum, which then would make Discord unnecessary, for this communities chat feature at least. If you’d want to rebrand your Discord for this community, by all means, I will support it, but I don’t have the technical know-how, and up until this point we’ve had zero volunteers for forum mods (it’s just @seru and I), so I don’t have any resources really to help out

Would you want me to change the name and implement a ‘no giantess’ rule.

The server has been a general macro community discord for a long time, so some feathers might get ruffled. But it’s been dead so I don’t think there is any harm

Or do you think it would be better to start a new discord from scratch with that rule? Or not have it all for the discord.

@normhorseman I wouldn’t think you would need to rebrand it too much Norm. Since this forum allows F/f, M/m, and along with (of course) M/f, the only thing you would need to really get rid of is the F/m aspect. This would only be because there are a lot of places for F/m, but this place isn’t one of them lol

But also @Jitensha, that would be so awesome if we had mobile chats on here! I use mobile most of the time to check a lot of websites, and I allow message notifications from my browser as well. That would be so absolutely incredible for other mobile users like me!

Yeah in that case if we want to remove the F/m element I think a rebrand is in order.

Honestly I feel a bit nervous doing it on my own since there’s certain to be a backlash as you’d expect from giantess fans. Emily, I don’t suppose you’d be interested in discussing over discord?

I also agree, if we were to go this route, a rebrand would probably be best.
