@skysayl What software do you use? I’m used to stuff like final cut pro or imovie, but I’ve focused on the video editing and have never separated tracks in that way before.

RE: Taking Care of Your Shrunken Princess ASMR
@foreverlurk Ooo do you know what kinds of tools/programs are needed to make that kind of effect? I have experience with video editing, so I’ve done some amount of audio editing as a result, but nothing quite like that.

@Olo Haha well then, here you go! https://youtu.be/uwClJ-JRhU0?si=RQQAfvuSqx4cRk8y
This actually reminds me, he did one in the biggo role too, and it’s one of my absolute favorites! I’ve actually been meaning to put together a list of giant ASMR videos and post them here but just haven’t gotten around to it. I’ll share this one now though: https://youtu.be/egP_zxZgKEw?si=NQkrqEWBJNp0VtN5

RE: Taking Care of Your Shrunken Princess ASMR
@skysayl Yeah exactly! I was imagining it might still be more RP-ish if it was told in first and second person, but otherwise this is sorta what I was imagining.
But that was just me thinking it might be easier to record for me personally. If I write a script for ya I could do whatever! The one I’ve written before was very much an “acting” style one, not an audiobook style one. I would just give you that script, but I ended up giving it to another friend to record so that it didn’t go to waste… (who is a guy, meaning I switched out the genders, I’m guessing folks here wouldn’t be interested in SM ASMR so I haven’t shared it haha)

RE: Taking Care of Your Shrunken Princess ASMR
@Olo Yeah, I’ve seen the word “audio stories” which is perhaps more accurate here. Although I guess that could maybe also refer to something told in the 3rd person, like an actual audiobook, as opposed to more of a roleplaying type thing.
That’s something I’ve thought of before too… I actually tried to record the “ASMR” script I mentioned before and hated the process so much that I gave up on it - combination of hating to hear my own words in my own voice and feeling so awkward about “acting”. But I’ve also wondered if telling a story, perhaps still from first person but without the same level of “acting” to the microphone, might be an alternative.

@skysayl Oooooh wait… I’ve actually written an ASMR script before… I don’t want to commit quite yet because I have so much going on right now but…!!

RE: What are your favorite types of relationships to see in size content?
@SmolChlo I would love to read a good enemy to lovers story!! I feel like oftentimes in traditional media with enemy to lovers I’m left wondering “so what do they even like about each other…?” and find that very distracting. But if they can make me believe in the relationship then it’s a dynamic I find very compelling.

RE: What are your favorite types of relationships to see in size content?
@giantmaneddie OPE I need to make more comics where she’s doing stuff for his sake, I didn’t realize she was coming off as the “dominator” But I guess what’s interesting about that is that is that in a situation where a big/tiny couple see each other as equals, that might lend itself to the smaller one having the bigger personality to compensate

RE: What are your favorite types of relationships to see in size content?
Oooo such a good question and I love seeing the responses! I do enjoy quite a variety. A romantic relationship is at the top for me, but I do love me some sweet platonic friendships too. Or for the giant to be in a more villainous role, though I don’t have any interest in giants seeing the tinies as disposable (maybe as a threat, but actual death is a total turnoff for me).
Weirdly I’m not as much into existing couples dealing with shrinking, usually because the content I’ve seen where that is the case tends to be rather sad? But I’d be totally open to exploring that, I’ve got a couple of stories on the ol’ idea list with that premise. And it’s definitely what I would go for if we’re talking a bit more realistic - I’d love for me and my partner to explore the possibilities of a shrink ray!
I think the biggest thing for me when it comes to stories is wanting some form of a happy ending. I think that’s why I tend to gravitate towards gentle stories - a couple that forms despite the size differences, the journey of learning to trust, the beauty of them figuring out how to be together and make it work. That gets a little trickier when it comes to me wanting to explore my darker side too with noncon/dubcon scenarios. If the ending is just “she died” or “she was his slave for the rest of her life” it sorta leaves a bad taste in my mouth. But I’m a sucker for redemption arcs and rescue fantasies and the like. 🥰 And I guess there’s something to be said for fleeting moments as opposed to full fledged stories. A picture of a giant looming over his victim threateningly with a smirk on his face is absolutely up my alley, no matter what their relationship is (and then I just don’t really think about the potential bad ending there).

RE: Psychology of fantasies
@Nyx Completely agree! And yeah I’ve seen that firsthand with foot fetishists too - I used to work for a YouTuber, and although she was a fashion/lifestyle vlogger, there was this group of dudes who were clearly just there for anytime she showed off an outfit with sandals. They always commented early, so it was a regular thing for me to log in shortly after every video uploaded and delete all the foot comments lol. She wasn’t too bothered by it, but yeah definitely a case of a few people making an entire group look bad

RE: Psychology of fantasies
@Nyx Yeah, I’m not sure how much it truly did affect mainstream people’s idea of BDSM or not, since kinks still feels like a bit of a taboo subject in most spaces. I do think that sometimes something blows up with the mainstream in a bad way (ie I think there are a whole lot of misconceptions about what furries are, which leads to unfortunate levels of mocking/derision from the general population). And I personally didn’t really know anything about BDSM until 50 Shades got popular, so at first I felt very creeped out by the whole idea - honestly the backlash that it got was what led me to research and learn about how BDSM actually works in real life. But I agree that 50 Shades is fiction and shouldn’t necessarily have to be “good representation,” and that by and large it might not have had that much of an effect on people’s minds.
(And yes, I also agree that I would have been way more interested if he was a lot bigger hehe)
