Soul Vore And My Opinion

Hello everyone, the one true king here. So I stumbled upon something I remember being rather interesting. The Ring Of Volthoom! To cut a long back story short, in the DC comics multiverse, there is an evil universe where the universal constants are different, and their version of Green Lantern is no exception. Basically, the Power Ring uses the bearer’s fear to make stuff but eventually eats the wearer’s soul. Get superpowers, but get soul vored in the end
Not a particularly pleasant digestion process, as you can see. And this got me thinking on soul vore in general, and how I never really liked it sexually, but it seemed like the most publicly talked about kind of vore in mainstream media. Like, if a vilion is going to vore someone in a movie, odds are it’s going to be soul vore, that’s weird right? My two cents on the matter is that it’s a fun idea, but not something that can be pulled off satisfyingly in RP. What do you wonderful and kinky people?

I like the “worse than death” aspect because it’s an eternal thing. It’s not just over, the person will basically be enslaved forever.
That’s also makes it somewhat unattractive in the fetish sense, because it’s so abstract. But at the same time, easier to get across in mainstream media. Everybody gets that “eternal soul enslavement” is bad, but it’s not very gruesome. Compare to real vore. Even animals eating is typically completely absent in mainstream movies. Something like “giant snake” or “dinosaurs” is the closest we’ll get, because it’s just pretty gruesome to watch.

See I used to think that soul vore was weird and not sexy by any means. Then I remembered I simp for a demon, who ends up consuming the souls of his masters and it made me think long and hard about what soul vore could actually entail. In my case I’m a huge frickin sub, who loves yanderes, kidnapping, and enslavement. Also along the line I also stumbled across an artist/writer who kind of implies that a predator could enslave their prey’s spirit, merging it into a sentient part of their stomach pudge (soooo damn hot
) so yeah, ultimately if you’re into being permanently and wholly enslaved, especially by a supernatural being, soul vore could actually go into some interesting and sexy directions. -
An easy way I can see to make it fun is to use on of the more common vore/shrinking fetish tropes for it: eating parts of them, or licking them, to shrink them.
It’s not even that hard, honestly: a soul would presumably be made out of energy, right? Energy in the shape of an attractive woman? What happens when there’s less energy? The shape remains, but the scale is reduced.
So, something preying on ghosts could feed on their target, be it by biting, licking, or even sucking their life out as they kiss or what not, and as they do their prey shrinks. But it’s more than that, because a soul is more than just energy, after all. It’s all that the person is, was, their mind and memories. So as they are fed upon, they become… less. Remember less. Desire less.
Until all that is left of them is a creature that knows no other life, no other purpose, than to be the food of the one that did it to them.
