What was the thing that sparked your interest?

I think for me, I was playing smash bros brawl and would use the mushroom to make the girls big n small I went oh big lady kinda hot…then I found a good chunk of that wacky ass live action gts stuff, and for a while I was into gts but got tired of it cause most of the stuff wasn’t in my taste, and eventually thought what if I swap the sizes, and the rest is history.

@kaito I remember I was a child and my dad bought home the DVD of the iron giant, I liked it so much that I got fascinated by it, so most of time when I was with my closest childhood friends, I remember we were doing pretending games where most of time there was a giant.
Then when I was like 7, I loved night at the museum saga because of all of the gt contents -
It was a dream when i was 6 or 7. I had reoccurring dreams of a fox that walked on his hine legs and wore a trench coat and hat like darkling duck. It followed me around in multiple dream for over a year. One dream I was outside in the company of a community of spiritual creatures mingling. I noticed that creepy fox walking up and staring me down as he did so. I backed into the crowd ans bumped into a giant man’s leg. I looked up and he was as tall as a tree. He looked down at me and smiled. The giant man picked me up and sat me up on his arm. I look over at the fox in the distance. I was still scared but i knew it wasnt gonna bother me now. Dispite my confidence, I peed on the giants side out of fear. The giant just laughed and continued to hold me. I woke up with a wet bet.

I remember seeing Mickey’s Brave Little Tailor, and Gulliver’s Travels. I used to fantasise about giant men from being 5 onwards, and always kept it a secret because I was sure I was the only person in the world who wanted to get scooped up and taken away.
Not anymore though!! -
Mine was the obvious classic King Sized Canary

So this is the kind of topic that serves as an introduction…
Like many others, there are lots and lots of movies and cartoons with size themes, even if they aren’t pivotal, you can name it, from Honey I shrunk the kids to TMNT (yes, I’m not kidding), and many others…
I was going to mention the “spark your interest in giant women” example, but in this forum we’re looking for something else, so I can say that the Gulliver’s travels miniseries from the 1990s was what sparked something that showed more about big/small people in general.
-
The actual inflection point was an Attack of the 50ft Woman poster in an ice cream shop, of all places.
Otherwise a myriad of books, cartoons and a wild imagination growing up crossed the wires.

Oooya! Where do I begin?
It’s the usual suspects when it comes to one’s size discovery; honey I shurnk the kids/ourselves. I especially loved the vore-ish scenes like the classic cereal vore scene from HISTK (link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-vNO6BXiiI) and the dipping vore scene with multiple giantess teens (Link to an fan made vore cut cause I couldn’t find the original (CW: M/F vore): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5eflsMwSXE)
But then there are more obscure ones like that one scene in Krypto the Superdog where the Krypto’s owner (along with the aliens who shrunk them) nearly got eaten by the owner’s little sister, GOSH that awakened somethin’ in me!
Other obscure size-fantasy sources include: A giantess scene in Danny Phantom, An episode in El Tigre where the main character got casually tossed in a giant green man’s gaping maw. A scene In Aaah Monsters where the two main characters had to go an endo journey inside their female monster friend, ect.
If you couldn’t tell by now, I’m a HUGE vore fan when it comes to size, especially when the pred (preferably male nowadays) is dominating their tiny mouth resident.

@gorrister omg, Gulliver’s Travels And Monster Blood 3 were like two of my favorite books when I was a kid. XD I only bought Monster Blood 3 because of the cover, I didn’t read the rest of Goosebumps.

I remember laying in my bed and imagining a giant butt crushing me when I was still in preschool. I’ve been obsessed with giants since I was old enough to see them in fairytale and adventure movies, at a very young age.
Jack and the Beanstalk Mickey Mouse Cartoon and Honey I shrunk the kids were the earliest ones I can remember. And the whale in Pinocchio. There was also a vore episode of Rugrats, about a watermelon seed, and,
I 100% can blame my fetish for digestion and aware vore on the themed Magic School Bus books, cartoon, and PC gane. FULL STOP.
I was simply obsessed when I was too young to feel sexual feelings, and then when puberty happened, well, whoops, turns out now it’s a fetish.

Alice in Wonderland, The Magic School Bus (also started me down the path of a fascination with science), Captain Planet, Thumbelina, the list goes on.
Fell down the rabbit hole with Toyogub and haven’t looked back.

Personally, I had always liked size related movies as a kid: like Honey I Shrunk the Kids and when I got into my teens I watched more content like: Inner Space and slowly learned that I had more than a casual curiosity while browsing DeviantArt. A lot of the mass media I had consumed was not M/f related but I soon realized that I preferred to fantasize and see M/f content over the giant woman media that typically dominates the field.
-
I remember seeing growth in cartoons I watched as a kid and really liking it. What solidified it for me was the Honey I Shrunk the Audience attraction at Disney. I’m sad they took it out. Kink aside, it was really cool!
-
Oh good topic! I remember being in high school and all the guys around me went through growth spurts and I was wondering why that appealed to me so much. Honey I shrunk the kids, Land of giants re-runs… All combining to interesting feelings I shouldn’t be getting from those things. Jump to now and boy that was a confusing time for me.

Since I can remember I have always been fascinated with shrinking myself and with other people as giants… Can’t say what sparked it though, I feel like I’ve just always been a tiny
