@Olo this got me thinking. Imagine a shrinking disease that could only be cured with expensive bespoke genetic treatments. Imagine the pressure that would cause when a rich, overbearing man marries his middle class secretary who then gets the disease. The stakes of infidelity, abuse, divorce are all so high here if you lose your normal-sized body without this man’s continued financial cooperation.

@tiny-ivy sometimes I get a little sad when I think of these scenarios. I desperately cling to the idea that my husband would still love me even if I shrunk…

but I’m sure that’s just wishful thinking 😭

@SmolChlo It’s a crapshoot. You never know until it happens. People of any size should cultivate and preserve trusted relationships outside their marriage for just such unforeseen calamities.

@Olo I guess “for better or for worse” doesn’t include becoming toy sized sigh Hopefully I’d get one last hug and smooch (even if I’m too small) before he permanently drops me off at my friends house

@SmolChlo If shrinking were a thing, I was married ,and my wife shrunk it would change nothing. Loyalty means a lot to me.

@SmolChlo ooh in my scenario the rich husband is happy to keep the shrinking disease from getting worse with his wife, keeps her just an inch shorter than her normal 5’6’‘, 5’5’’ is still plenty tall. She’ll stay that way with her monthly injection that costs an arm and a leg, indefinitely.

As long as she continues making him happy. Forever. And doesn’t lose her figure. What was in the prenup again? It was 10 years ago that they signed it…
