Norandino and Lucina discovered by the Ogre

I was watching an episode of The UnXplained with William Shatner on Netflix and there was an episode talking about The Nephilim and other “Monsters of the Bible”. During the episode they briefly flashed this magnificent painting and I just had to share

This island is inhabited by a sea ogre, who although blind captures Lucina and her companions. Norandino, meanwhile, learns from the ogre’s wife that the cannibalistic monster does not eat women. The king manages to penetrate the darkness of the grotto and reveals his plan for escape to his friends: they would cover themselves in smelly fat and put on sheep’s wool and deceive the unsuspecting giant with their disguise. Yet in spite of this clever plan, Lucina fails to escape: recognising her by touch at the edge of the cave, the monster grabs her, takes her back to the depths of the prison and chains her to a rock.

Of course I can’t find it right now, but I’ve seen ancient art from Japan depicting tiny women. There’s mention of giant and tiny people in myths all over the world. Impossible to think we’re the first generation in history to have this fantasy, although we’re probably the first able to discuss it openly with others through the internet.

I’ve had the thought before of “hmm, I’m sure there was a caveman once upon a time who really wished his mate was tiny and struggled to explain this to her” lol

@littlest-lily It would be hard to explain Microphilia using just grunts and gestures. Heck I have words and have trouble explaining it to people.

@HHunter1 “grunts and gestures” are a good approximation of my one and only attempt at describing microphilia to someone IRL. Hopefully next time I won’t be so drunk.
