@tiny-ivy Let us know what you think! When I get a proper computer I would like to play it myself.

Although after watching some of the clips I realized my stupid ass would do everything to get the giant’s attention and piss him off. Kind of missing the point of the entire game lol.

@Noneja I don’t know why all games are from the tinies perspective, we giants need games too! I would even settle for an observer mode.

I’m not usually into being a literal giant myself, but… casting a huge shadow over a city with my hand? 😳 Yes please!

Oh and Grounded would be absolutely fun to watch from a normal-size perspective

I got some Big vibes from playing “Black and White” back in the day. You’re a God to bronze-age villagers, and you sorta-control a semi-autonomous giant animal pet/ avatar, so that’s automatically giant-ish. But the most manifesting way is that your way of interacting with the world is as a hand, and the world is complete with physics, you can toss rocks and villagers - or, what I tried to do most of the time, you can gift them with food and wood by harvesting resources for them.

To conquer enemy villages, though, to become their God, tossing a boulder into their town square was an extremely fast way of gaining their belief.

There’s that old game, Haku, I think? The set up is you were getting shrunken women (who came out of fruits) for unexplained reasons, but it turned out you were actually a giant who fought off kaiju and I think they were paying you with the women?

It was an SW pet care simulator, but it would have been awesome if you could have beat up monsters and stomp over the city as well.

…Also, if i ever could have played it.

              Power is choice.

@tiny-ivy Oh wow you unlocked a memory of a game I used to play as a kid : Populous! You played as a divinity and controlled the population, made them fear you or reward them. That would influence their destiny, until you had them confront a rival divinity’s followers in an all-out ragnarok-like war hehe

W-wait wait… you had me at “SW Pet Care Sim”. I need more games like this now 😵

Yes! Same core developing team, actually, just a few years later. I played Populous: The Beginning, the sequel to Populous, which was tons of fun. This team also did Theme Hospital and Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2. DK2 was another one of my fav games. You controlled a dungeon of evil monsters and defended it against marauding D&D style heroes.

Sadly, the lead developer of these games, Peter Molyneaux, sort of went off the deep end in the 2000’s, and became a scammer of sorts in the XBox era, always promising more than his games were capable of, when he started working on Fable and its sequels. Maybe these earlier “God games” were only great because of another person he was working with, and he just took the credit as the leader, I can’t otherwise explain why someone who made such brilliant things totally lost the touch a decade later.

@tiny-ivy Yes I know about Molyneaux and his sad story, I don’t think he’s involved with the latest Fable, the one with the sizey elements we’ve seen in the teasers? I hope not!

But yeah I was a fan of Bullfrog and I played Populous on my brother’s computer (thanks to him I could play games my parents wouldn’t have wanted me to play lol)

Never got into Dungeon Keeper, but heard they are classics. My other favourite was a cyberpunk one called Syndicate, you had missions to complete with a team of agents, didn’t understand it too much but setting people on fire never got old 😁
