it makes me laugh some people actually feel ashamed for liking M/f
Well it depends on a lot of factors. Everyone has different personalities, upbringings (social status, religion), live in different places where this can be more or less accepted, even different generations don’t have the same issues towards kinks in general.
What I mean is I’m really glad for you if you never experienced guilt, but not everyone had that chance. I’m mostly okay with it now but wasn’t always the case.

@skysayl Sniffing is the best way to do it.

@Olo In any case yes, I keep seeing this bs rhetoric lately trying to define feminism in terms of how we express our sexual desires. I keep seeing comments about how giant men are somehow gross with no regard for the fact that maybe they’re kink-shaming. Men asking OTHER MEN what women like about being dommed and if it’s a moral failure to not “let them be their inner giantess” (
) rather than just, you know, talking to some women.It’s especially harder in male-dominated spaces to have your voice heard, when you’d love to indulge your kinks but the moment you share anything catering to a M/f fanbase it gets shamed and buried because they don’t like it. Meanwhile, a picture of a giant female ass and drooling vagina hovering over a city takes over the whole algorithm. As someone who already struggles with shame, this stings and often pushes me deeper in the closet.
So yes, this discussion here did influence my mood a bit, and I had to go yell somewhere.

@skysayl As with so many other things, these guys would be in a much better place if they simply listened to women (who vary quite widely) when they say what they want. Too much effort, I guess.
Whether it’s anonymous roleplaying or a long-term IRL relationship, if you’re not curious about what your partner genuinely wants, what are you even doing?
-
@skysayl The giantess guys have been trying to hijack feminism since I first discovered the size community a billion years ago and they fail to notice the hypocrisy of trying to control our desires and fantasies.
I’ve seen tons of M/f creators driven away because those guys shame them and I’ve received quite a few comments myself (“This would be better if it was F/m. M/f is so gross!”) Now I see those comments and I smile to myself as I create more M/f content

-
@Nyx I’ve left other sites over issues like this, just to avoid unwinnable flame wars. People trying to define all acceptable size content as F/m is a real problem.
-
@Nyx That’s about where I’m at, unfortunately I’m still working on the smiling part; I’m more of a growly grumbly gremlin.
-
@Nyx Unfortunately, an unearned sense of moral superiority causes lots of people to act like creeps. (Which relates back to what I said earlier about why I don’t trust most of the people currently developing AI.) I think for a large percentage of those guys, it’s a way of posturing and making themselves look superior to other men. They’re under the delusion that it makes them more manly and more attractive to women. It allows them to say, “I’m the only REAL man in the room! I’m not threatened by strong women, because I’M not a pathetic, scared little boy, unlike all these OTHER losers…” I see lots of guys act like this–not just in the F/m community or the size community–and I find it nauseating. A lot of the traditional ways for men to act macho and superior have fallen out of favor over time and have been widely labeled “toxic,” so the traditional ways are slowly being replaced by new ways.
It makes no sense to me how so many F/m people can be so personally offended by the mere existence of M/f content. I strongly dislike shrunken men content, personally–both in the mainstream media and in the size community. It just makes me feel uncomfortable, disgusted, and grossed out…it’s kind of like experiencing secondhand embarrassment. If someone asked me to kiss another man or wear a dress, I would feel repulsed by that idea, and the feelings of repulsion I get from fantasies that include tiny men are somewhat similar to that. But even so, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with OTHER people liking shrunken men content. People are free to like whatever they like, just as I’m free to dislike it…nobody needs my permission to like something. Just because it’s completely incompatible with my personal preferences doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist. This is a concept we shouldn’t have to explain to other adults. So on one level, I can understand why they don’t like M/f content and would prefer not to see it (because that’s how I feel about F/m stuff), but still…that doesn’t excuse acting like a spoiled child, making yourself the boss of everyone, and demanding they exclusively like what you like.

@Olo Hehe.
I guess whether it’s a good thing or a bad thing depends on what the old ways are being replaced with. Sometimes new can be better, sometimes it can be worse…depending on the situation. But I think we can all agree that–in general–posturing sucks, no matter who’s doing it. -
@protect-tinies Sometimes posturing is polite.

@skysayl nope, it doesn’t seem to mind about GTS and SM at all, and doesn’t lecture me. Ah, what a time to be alive.
That’s disappointing that it’s been specifically marked to block M/f content
Does it care about F/f or M/m at all? -
@foreverlurk It’s sad to have other people affecting your enjoyment about the intimate things we like. In this topic, I think no matter where you come from, you should only feel ashamed about actually being violent to women.
My tastes in erotic stuff cover from vanilla, wholesome stuff to dark, VSW depravities. That makes me… Still me, and any woman I can share that with still wants to be safe, big surprise. If I have to explain adulthood to that people, I’d be seriously worried about them being actual adults.
-
@Technomage I’m working on a long post about dark fantasies. One thing that’s very clear is that when sexual desires are involved we don’t trust people to have honest motives.

The empirical evidence all points towards this : any scenes with a man interacting with a woman, especially when dealing with what the AI considers bad (violence, power imbalance, etc) has a higher chance of being blocked. I never experience much blocking with F/f, but I never even tried M/m, or F/m, so I can’t say.

Very sad, indeed! It’s not just “other people”, it’s the culture I grew up in, the era I was born (80s), the pre-internet void around kinks… Ideas you learn during childhood are the hardest to deconstruct. I’d say most of my guilt is self-imposed, reinforced by those factors, and the occasional comments I’ve read.
Although I feel much better about it now, it’s still a work in progress.
