@SmolChlo The Daddy’s Dollhouse apartment complex.
-
@blehb I just fixed the plumbing yesterday! What are you doing in there?
-
@SmolChlo This is definitely an upgrade from a hamster cage or a jar
-
@Olo Creating more chores for the giants.
-
@foreverlurk right!! Her model is 1:12 scale if that helps? But I get what you mean, there’s nothing like watching a normal sized hand interact with miniature objects ~ The coffee shop I’m currently building is also 1:12 scale. I’ll be sure to take pictures as I go so you can get an idea of the size differences. It’s funny, I feel very tiny as I tinker away on these things even though I’m technically the Giant lol
-
@blehb omg can you imagine all of us tiny and living together?! 🥳
Hmmm I wonder who would get to keep the complex, we’ll need Giant supervision lol

I’m part of a miniaturist community
The established trope is the dollhouse-maker who yearns to have tiny residents for their creations discovering a way to shrink people and abducting them for their display. What we need is more art/fiction of dollhouse-makers who want to be tiny themselves.

@Olo So wait, me? I have a whole little town I made for inch tall residents
-
@SmolChlo Ever do 3d printed stuff? I do 30mm scale and half my fun is designing and 3d printing buildings, furniture, and items.
I did make some 1:12th coke bottles and classic coke machine for my sister once, which was neat.
Oh and I dabbled in 6mm, buildings are nice to do, people are VERY not.

@Olo I completely agree! I learned the hard way that not all miniaturists are macrophiles
oh well, at least they learned day 1 that I’m actually 4”just a smol building for other smols
-
@Deedee I haven’t tried 3D printing yet but it’s looks super cool! I’m sure those building structures come out flawless. I’m mostly fascinated by the fake food and utensils, I always find myself fiddling with the miniature cups and dishes lol My friend made me some cute popsicles from resin

As for figures for your Coffee shop. Many collector and action figure lines are 6 inch/1:12 scale now. I know it would be likely hard for you to find characters in normal looking clothes but I’m sure there has to be some.
Or, maybe the coffee shop was across the street from a convention center having a Comic Con like event. And those were the patrons inside when the person shrunk the shop and they haven’t noticed yet.
Or, maybe the people in Tiny Town only clothes are doll/toy clothes and not to be naked as they go about their lives they have to dress as Superheroes and the like. “Well, have to go into the office, guess I’ll wear the Wonder Woman outfit today.”

@HHunter1 I haven’t started shopping for the characters yet but you’re giving me so many ideas! Part of me is sad bc I can’t shrink down and hang out in the coffee shop myself
I really want to play with my fake popsiclessmashes tiny figurines out of jealousy

Oh… is there a story you’d be willing to share here

@SmolChlo If you ever get access to a printer hit me up, I’ll be happy to design you some stuff. One of my more recent projects has been a fantasy camp set, with all sorts of tools for tiny adventurers to cook meals and maintain their gear.
