@Olo When I saw this I was really this close to posting it on GiantessCity. Not sure if they would appreciate that kind of humor.

It’s one of the better articles, for sure, but unless I fail at English it does still seem very focused on giantesses and shrunken men?! Which is perfectly understandable with them being the majority and all, easier to tackle for writing about it from a normie’s POV.

I’m always puzzled by the experts takes on this (Joe Kort). I feel that correlation != causation should apply to “I watched Land of the Giants and it made me a size fetishist”. I think they got it wrong. Maybe it simply awakens something pre-existing, sleeping inside your mind that just so happens to react to that stimuli?

Like, I had no childhood traumas, no dominating father or mother (she was 4’10" and sweetness). While I did enjoy watching size content from a very early age, it was more a consequence than the cause of my fetish. I surely didn’t feel the desire to dominate my parents growing up, and yet here I am. I honestly don’t know beyond “I’m wired this way” or “hurr-durr me likes tiny woman!”

I still lament the lack of serious studies on the subject.

I know! It’s like almost everyone is a switch nowadays (and/or bi, but I digress). All the more power to them, I’m low-key jealous but I’m sadly stuck with my “cishet-normal-sized-dude-who-likes-to-shrink-down-ladies”. Doesn’t roll off the tongue, there should be a word for that.

For sure my mind wanders. Sometimes it can be just a camera angle, anything that can help my mind go “she’s nice, but what if tiny?”.

It’s not just strictly sexual either; I can see a short lady at the grocery store, hopping helplessly to reach something on the top shelf, and get the butterflies. Or just see a shrinkable stranger walking on the street, minding her business. My imagination will just kick a quick jolt of dopamine, it’s out of my control.

Yeah there’s a definite lack of “normal sized” tags (or tags in general) in the community, not only on this forum but elsewhere. I don’t want to change my own size, I want to change other people’s size, of a specific gender (females), and in one direction (smaller). There is no way on profiles to properly indicate this, it can get pretty confusing. Throw in the multiple size and gender identities, switchers and everything in between and it’s a mess.

@Afreakingbby I’m not even close to being a cruel giant, but I really enjoy non-consensual (or semi-consensual) shrinking in my fantasies. I’ve met people who made me feel bad about that, but luckily I’ve also found plenty of tiny women who gladly play along with my scenarios and enjoy them just as much as I do.

That being said, it depends on the context. If you’re in a RP, like Big G said, I think the important part is making sure both partners know each other’s limits. For example, I’m a fan of micro, but I know that some find it overwhelming, or don’t like it at all. I can either dial it down if they want, or completely avoid it if it’s a no-no.

But yes, consent is key : if you consent to an unwilling scenario, and both party agrees, knock yourself out! Have fun! And screw the puritans or self-righteous gatekeepers of what should be allowed (or not) in size play.

I’m testing a new GenAI called Flux and it’s pretty good so far, I can run it locally and it’s semi-uncensored (only because it wasn’t trained on NSFW stuff, yet). I’m still learning the ropes because the prompting is vastly different that what I’m used to, and while the model has very good adherence, it’s completely clueless about my main interest: women smaller than my thumb. @miss-lillipants I am beyond hyped for this series!

I love that they’re still going for a serious tone overall, in spite of this being labeled as a comedy. Lots of information in the article, like Lindy seems to be a very successful woman, a Pulitzer Prize winner no less. Her reaction to being shrunk seems to be mostly anger which is always fun to me Oh and they are going to be using lots of oversized props and practical effects!

Can’t wait to see the trailer, which should be out in the next few weeks…

@RogerRoger I’m not a SW, but may I also suggest reading a few M/f stories by female authors? For me that was such an eye-opening experience, one that wasn’t possible 20 years ago in the male-gaze dominated landscape.

Here on this forum you find stories by @miss-lillipants , @skysayl and @littlest-lily and more, that cover a wide variety of settings that should give you some insights into the alternate POV.

And yes… I could easily listen to them talk for hours about their perspectives, why they like being tiny or shrunk, the appeal in it, etc.
