Hi! First of all, I’m letting this post serve as a bit of an introduction. I’m Alex, though feel free to call me Rice (I know, it’s weird for the giant to be the one named after food). I’ve just joined the forum after having interacted for a bit with the wider ‘size community’, especially on Reddit and Discord. Most of these interactions were related to RP (which is something I discovered through size), so that’s going to be the thing I’ll be focusing on, but I think it applies to everything else as well.

Whenever I’ve discussed a plot with a potential partner, we’ve talked about kinks and limits. I do have a few hard limits that I don’t want to include, but when the discussion comes to kinks, I’m always left a bit stumped. My partner replies and says they especially enjoy vore, feet, crushing or whatever else, and then I ask myself—how am I supposed to pick a favorite?

I’ve reached the conclusion that I just enjoy size over everything else. I’m a switch, and I’ve always enjoyed both the giant and tiny perspectives. And while I do have some slight preferences, and my mood somewhat dictates what I’m looking for in a story, through the time I’ve spent roleplaying I found out that I enjoy both being the cruel giant who just thinks of tinies as toys and prey, and the gentle big that is afraid to accidentally hurt his thumb-sized girlfriend.

It’s not just sexually related either, though the great majority of RP plots on Discord and Reddit are very focused on that. I just think size dynamics are really fun to write and read about, and they really help build an incredible amount of depth into a relationship or a scenario. I just think it’s weird that I haven’t met anyone else who thinks like that, and I’m painfully aware that it probably makes me look like a people pleaser when someone asks about my kinks and all I can say is ‘anything to do with size’.

What’s your opinion on this? Is there something specific that you especially enjoy about size stuff, or do you experience it in a more general way?

@wildxpixie I hadn’t really thought about trust! Just goes to show the extra layers of complexity that mixed-size relationships have The idea of earning the tiny’s trust is so fun, and it actually helps with something that I think tends to be a narrative obstacle, which is the fact that the giant ends up being the one in control. Going back to RP, I’ve had times where I felt like I was the only one moving the plot forward, being the big one. It’s really a beautiful compromise!

@foreverlurk I’m not a native English speaker either! I don’t think you sound like a bad RPer, though. Just from the detail of your replies I can see there’s thought and interest in a discussion, which is… more than I can say about a few people, haha

Besides that and the ghosting part, I think everything else is mostly a preference and a matter of compatibility from my side. I prefer writing a fair bit and being hit with a quick one-liner after sending two or three detailed paragraphs is tiresome (or conversely, receiving too much text, though I’ve only had that happen once). But I know there’s people who enjoy the shorter RPs, and definitely a lot of people who just enjoy chatting about different scenarios and size thoughts but don’t want to RP, and that’s perfectly okay, even if it’s usually not my thing!

The struggle to translate myself is real, I can totally relate to that. Though if it’s any consolation coming from another non-native, I wouldn’t have thought English wasn’t your first language

@The-Big-G Something I’ve found out is that sizing up stuff (or shrinking them) really makes me enjoy them more. For example, I’m not really attracted to feet normally, but feet in size content are nice and something I enjoy.

@foreverlurk The process of shrinking isn’t usually the highlight for me, though it’s a very nice part of the fantasy, of course. To be honest, one of the things I enjoy the most about it is how everyone seems to relate to it in a different way! It isn’t something that gets stale, that’s for sure.

For RP… it’s a mixed bag. My experience on Reddit hasn’t been really good. I’ve found a few good partners, but there’s definitely a lot of ghosting (I’ve had people stop replying suddenly, after several weeks of activity…) and I think there’s a lot of one-liners and really short form RPs, which isn’t really what I’m interested in. Same for Discord, but it tends to be a little better, at least the servers I’ve visited.

I imagine it also helps that I rarely posted plots of my own, I’m much more comfortable replying to someone else’s so I can have an idea of what it’s going to be like.
