I’m part of a miniaturist community and one of our members shared with us her latest model and I couldn’t wait to show you guys!

I’m a sucker for the classic wooden dollhouse but I’m really digging this all glass design… unfortunately (or fortunately 👀) there’s not much privacy for us tinies 😅

That’s freaking amazing… crazy attention to details, the LED lights and all. Only wish there was something else in the frame (a hand or whatever) to better show the actual size of the miniature.

Also, I wish I could justify owning something like this…

Oh I used to work at a model store, and I got to set up the displays. Not going to lie I thought of this kind of thing a lot when setting up little towns

@Olo a little bug who won’t stop pressing her dirty pillows up against the glass. Work from home would be impossible

@SmolChlo This is definitely an upgrade from a hamster cage or a jar 👍

@foreverlurk right!! Her model is 1:12 scale if that helps? But I get what you mean, there’s nothing like watching a normal sized hand interact with miniature objects ~ The coffee shop I’m currently building is also 1:12 scale. I’ll be sure to take pictures as I go so you can get an idea of the size differences. It’s funny, I feel very tiny as I tinker away on these things even though I’m technically the Giant lol

@blehb omg can you imagine all of us tiny and living together?! 🥳

Hmmm I wonder who would get to keep the complex, we’ll need Giant supervision lol

The established trope is the dollhouse-maker who yearns to have tiny residents for their creations discovering a way to shrink people and abducting them for their display. What we need is more art/fiction of dollhouse-makers who want to be tiny themselves.

@SmolChlo Ever do 3d printed stuff? I do 30mm scale and half my fun is designing and 3d printing buildings, furniture, and items.

I did make some 1:12th coke bottles and classic coke machine for my sister once, which was neat.

Oh and I dabbled in 6mm, buildings are nice to do, people are VERY not.
