@Olo I completely agree! I learned the hard way that not all miniaturists are macrophiles 😅 oh well, at least they learned day 1 that I’m actually 4”

@Deedee I haven’t tried 3D printing yet but it’s looks super cool! I’m sure those building structures come out flawless. I’m mostly fascinated by the fake food and utensils, I always find myself fiddling with the miniature cups and dishes lol My friend made me some cute popsicles from resin

As for figures for your Coffee shop. Many collector and action figure lines are 6 inch/1:12 scale now. I know it would be likely hard for you to find characters in normal looking clothes but I’m sure there has to be some.

Or, maybe the coffee shop was across the street from a convention center having a Comic Con like event. And those were the patrons inside when the person shrunk the shop and they haven’t noticed yet.

Or, maybe the people in Tiny Town only clothes are doll/toy clothes and not to be naked as they go about their lives they have to dress as Superheroes and the like. “Well, have to go into the office, guess I’ll wear the Wonder Woman outfit today.”

          😝

@HHunter1 I haven’t started shopping for the characters yet but you’re giving me so many ideas! Part of me is sad bc I can’t shrink down and hang out in the coffee shop myself 😭 I really want to play with my fake popsicles

@SmolChlo If you ever get access to a printer hit me up, I’ll be happy to design you some stuff. One of my more recent projects has been a fantasy camp set, with all sorts of tools for tiny adventurers to cook meals and maintain their gear.

Why are you reading this and not messaging me?

                  @foreverlurk but of course ~

I was helping this guy adjust a light fixture inside his miniature greenhouse, he wasn’t saying much and sometimes silence makes me uncomfortable so I thought it would be a good idea to ask him if he prefers to be tiny or a Giant?
My dear friends of Papa’s Dollhouse, the silence was so painful and after a lengthy pause he explains that he simply enjoys building miniature structures as a hobby and nothing more. He then proceeded to nervously ask me what I was talking about and if I had a preference?? to which I replied I have a desire to be 4” tall. His face was slowly starting to turn red, leaning closer he whispered “why” … at that point I was so embarrassed that I word vomited all over him and blurted “I want to be the size of a toy so that a man can play with me!” Didn’t help that one of the girls overheard us and said “ooooohhh I know what that is!”

I’d call that a win for Shrunken Women visibility.

                      😲 😵

Talk about being built differently. I bow to your confidence, mighty Chlo. You may be only four inches tall but you have way more guts than this giant.

(… and yes I would have turned 100 shades of red, and probably fainted)

@Olo right! My girl in the back got me 😎 She briefly explained to the people around us what it was and said “it was cute”. I was worried when she first started explaining it but she seemed very educated on the topic and was chill about it

Makes me wonder if you’re not the first size perv to cruise miniaturist groups.

@foreverlurk well when Mr. Greenhouse informed me this was just a hobby, it hit me like a ton of bricks that the rest of these people are just miniaturists and in that very moment ALL the confidence left my soul 👻

too bad I couldn’t shrink down in my seat and scurry away! ✌🏻

I have to say, his response makes me suspicious! 😳 Normally, I’m the type who believes you shouldn’t read too much into these things and that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. That may be the case in this particular situation. But if this is ONLY a hobby for him, why did he get so uncomfortable? Why did HIS face turn red when YOU blurted out a confession? HE didn’t have any reason to be embarrassed, presumably. It sounds like maybe this IS more than just a hobby for him and he was afraid that his secret was about to be inadvertently exposed. Like, if someone asked ME a question about size fantasy, I think I’d probably react the way this guy did. I’d probably deny that I had any interest in sizey stuff at all and play dumb while turning red and becoming very awkwardly quiet and thinking “Oh crap oh crap oh crap! I’ve given myself away! They’re going to figure it out!”

Or it’s possible that he’s just one of those sensitive people who experiences secondhand embarrassment very strongly.

But anyway…I’m not saying he’s a closeted macrophile or microphile. I’m just saying he acted the way I would expect a closeted macrophile or microphile to act. LOL.
