I give my little pet lots of attention when I’m at home. But when I’m at work she spends the whole day in her cage, and I feel kinda bad about it because she must be bored out of her mind. What toys should I get her to keep her occupied while I’m gone? A little bouncy ball maybe? I wonder if those tiny arcade units are the right size for her? she’s around 4 inches tall.

I don’t want her to use too many miniature versions of everyday objects though, because she needs to learn that she is a pet and not a person. :handheld:

@Kondo Maybe a cell phone, not one with a phone plan mind you, but let her watch YouTube or something.

Well if your TV is within view of the cage and you have cable you could just leave the remote in their cage. But I recommend against that if you have one of those internet access capable plans.

Hamster wheel is good for exercise like Olo said. If you have a good secure cage you can get little ladders and structure for them to climb about on. You know, re-prepose those Hamster tunnels.

Depending on how you like to play with your pet and your gender you could if male have a comparably scaled firm rubber dildo. That is an excellent item for them to practice climbing along and other skills on. Or if your female, a wide verity of imitation woman sexual areas are available that they could also practice with. (Sorry, started writing this before I thought to check your listed pronouns. I hope I haven’t offended you.)

Another idea is light novels. Pocket sized paper back books. That way they could open the covers and turn the pages to read them. Making them exercise for both their bodies and their minds.

Last suggestion for now. Depending on their mental state, small elastics make for good resistance training devices. To keep them toned and fit. And small building toys can be assembled and glued to make them into a small weight set. Just because they are light to you doesn’t meant they are light to your pet.

Oops, one more. They make small easels, paints, and canvas. With light enough brushes (Fine tipped or kids brushes) your pet can be a mini-painter. Clearly skill will vary.

@SmolChlo I don’t think that is a good idea. Depending on how cruel the owner is, the little lady might see crawling into the oven as the easy way out.

But if well taken care of, I could see her welcoming her owner home with delicious fresh baked goods~.

Honestly, I’m all for the bouncy ball idea. I’d use it like a yoga ball. I’d especially love it if I got to put the quarter in one of machines where you turn the quarter to get the toy. I remember a huge one at Old Navy where the balls rolled down a spiral before you got it. I would be a tiny pet forever if I got to do that every week. 😜
