DeviantArt has recently increased removals of art and artists, including last week the account deletion of Karbo, a longtime user and mainstay of the Vore community. The response to Karbo’s request for an explanation was that his art was “unacceptable fetish content” and hinted that DA now considers vore to be “sexual violence.” Having looked at the policies, my best guess is that any art that portrays a situation where consent is difficult to determine, they will assume it is nonconsensual and remove it.

This jeopardizes not only vore but potentially any sizey art. Many users of DeviantArt are now looking for alternate sites. If you are such a creator, please make sure your followers know where to find you.

@Olo I highly request people to set up a pixiv or itaki because dA content bot is going to full overdrive with anything vore or hardcore sexual SW/SM.

I do find it a touch amusing that a site called DeviantArt is actively removing anything they consider deviant art.

@giantmaneddie I would avoid pixiv as well, unless you’re happy with censoring your work. A lot of people don’t and they are not actively removing uncensored art right now, but it is technically part of their terms that all explicit artwork must have genitals and object insertions censored as per Japanese law.

Newgrounds is another potential alternative, though.

Lmk if yall wanna get a webring together for you self-hosters! I honestly wouldn’t trust any mainstream site with erotic content or anything that could be interpreted as erotic by the powers-that-be at this stage in the general internet enshittification process.

NSFW hosting isn’t super cheap, but it sure beats all the time and effort we spend in continually moving platforms and reuploading and re-finding/following people.

And yeah, webrings are making a comeback in response to all this kind of bullshit. There’s already one for non-straight male NSFW artists, so I figured why not one for us specifically? It’s such an ingenious, low-effort way to make sure everyone stays connected.

Also my life as a macrophilic asexual woman into M/f, got to dig through all the GTS and sexual content that I can’t handle to find that M/f picture that triggers that deep sense of excitement and warmth. So rewarding when I find it.

@nephilim the funny part is it’s because of that mlp stuff that I was able to learn some stuff regarding how to make my content. From tricks with lightening and camera, to also bugs and fix them. Granted most of my stuff is self learn and taught but the moments where I hit a wall. It was their tutorials that helped me.

In a way I actually owe quite a bit to the mlp 3d animation scene for it. Hence why I made a few renders in a way to give back to them as thanks

However blender is entirely different beast and is not really self taught. I find myself always have to look up problem solutions wwwwww
