I feel like 'unaware' tends to be pretty uncommon in M/f. What is everyone's opinions on it?

I do enjoy a bit of temporary unaware scenarios! I get a bit bored if a story is entirely unaware, especially since it usually ends in death if that’s the case, so I always say that I’m not into unaware. But this thread is highlighting the fact that that’s not actually true - if there’s eventually a moment of discovering then I love it for all the reasons mentioned!
I also enjoy how it plays into my love of micro. The idea that I’m not hiding from him - in fact I’m doing everything I can to get his attention and he still doesn’t notice me?? So terrifying and thrilling. And being discovered in that situation, even if he clearly isn’t a cruel person, is still very scary due to the size difference.
I also like a bit of semi-awareness, if that makes sense. Not so much getting mistaken for a bug or something (that’s actually a bit of a pet peeve of mine because I feel like if she’s big enough to be seen/noticed, the shape/color of her should also be apparent enough to recognize that she’s not an insect… But I digress.) I’m more referring to scenarios where he is aware that she’s around but loses track of her somehow. Whether it’s a cat and mouse type hunt, or a silly teasing type game, or he’s legitimately worried and fretfully searching, I love those moments. Gah one of my favorite lines to hear from a giant (that could be said in all kinds of tones) is “ah, there you are” 🫠

We know we can push a big’s buttons and they’ll still be gentle and respectful in the end. It’s a symbol of how much we trust you.
Awww pshhhshfhffftf (sound of this giant melting from the wholesomeness) Always loved the idea that I could somehow be that worthy of her trust in spite of being able to end her anytime by accident. Definitely not a level that can be achieved overnight. Part of the reasons I always thought that first interactions with a SW (once discovered and aware of her presence) would be awkward as hell for me, in spite of my inner desires.
And discipline, well… depending on what you have in mind, that can also require a great deal of trust on both sides. But that’s another story.

Micro can definitely be scary for both the SW and the giant! “Where is she!?!” and panicking at the thought that even moving to search for her could potentially be fatal. The utter relief of identifying the moving speck on the ground
As for bug-sized woman being mistaken for insects, I could see it happening under some circumstances, as our brains would probably go for Occam’s Razor : it’s just a strange bug. It depends on a lot of factors, for instance if she’s wearing clothes (and what colour they are), the speed at which she’s moving, the context (ie. is she on the ground outside, or on an office desk, etc). I used to think “no way I could mistake her for a bug” but VR showed me otherwise and now I’m not so sure

@foreverlurk Nah, I know there are some situations where it could happen, I’ve just seen/read way too many moments where I don’t buy it

@littlest-lily Usually my unaware fantasies don’t stay unaware - that moment of realization is so good for me - but when they do, it normally involves cartoon levels of resilience. Typically things just end with the tiny woman getting tossed to the side, reeling from the experience while the giant goes on his merry way.
Semi-awareness!!! That’s so cute. Was hide and seek your favorite game growing up as well? I LOVED finding small places to hide and would feel so much anticipation waiting. I love those types of games in size content even now.

Well of course. The giant is talking about you like you’re a missing set of keys. Being so small he can misplace you…

Yes, I do think unaware stuff can be enjoyable, but if it never reaches a point where the tiny is noticed, then it’s kind of like a long extended setup without a payoff. Ideally, “temporarily unaware” scenarios can be a good way to add some variety and to get the best of both worlds (i.e. you get the benefits of giant interaction AND the benefits of the tiny being unnoticed).
Unaware content is a bit like micro content. I enjoy REALLY small sizes–a lot!–but I also recognize that they tend to limit the interaction that’s possible between a giant and a tiny, so it’s usually best if the tiny is micro-sized only temporarily and for a relatively short time. Ideally, just like with unaware stuff, micro sizes can be a good way to add some variety and to get the best of both worlds (you get the benefits of ant-sized tinies AND the benefits of finger-sized tinies).

@protect-tinies I feel like that’s a fair comparison! Unaware and micro content both sorta have a niche appeal within the community. You have the people who love it, while most people are more neutral about it.
I didn’t really care for micro content UNTIL I read some really fantastic stories/saw some great art about it. While it still doesn’t come up a lot in my own fantasies, I definitely see the appeal of it now!

It’s almost as if Size is not just a fetish but an artistic genre.
