Ugh sometimes I wish I could tap into my dark side for this fantasy (spoiler : I can’t, even in RP lol). But just reading this and “an insect sized girl” gave me the butterlies lol

Whoa, wait - shrinking games? You had those, too?! OMG my poor normie friends were subjected sooo many times to my pretend games of shrinking. I stopped bringing them up when I started to get the feeling they were on to me. 
Children have such amazing interior worlds and imagination!
I’m amazed how common all our stories are - even from the other gender/size of things. Incredible I thought for so long I was the only one, and that there was something profundly wrong with me.

fyi, a “designated giant” is a volunteer program set up to help MINUS victims adapt to daily life while they are tiny. This is for long terms sufferers, but also for the rare permanent version of the disease. These caretakers are specially trained to handle tinies and teach them the basics of life at their new sizes, in a safe and humanizing way.
My friend told me he didn’t care if the virus was permanent and she remained small for the rest of her life, he loved her just the same. Honestly, I pretty sure he likes her even MORE that way. With that in mind, I’m hope he’ll gather up the courage to share his feelings with her… soon.

Over the past 3 years I’ve changed. I returned to the community repressed, afraid and ashamed of my own fantasies. But with the encouragement of you, and a lot of free time for art-making. I’m learning to embrace myself without shame. Thank you.
@blehb I like the idea, but more as a spectator since I have zero artistic talent. I can write but I’d be too self conscious to do so in English (or that’s just my excuse).

Also, the neuropsychological aspects are fascinating, I think it would be such a great topic of serious research. I would gladly volunteer hours of my time for such a study.

@blehb Very kind of you to say! It just takes a lot more effort to write in English. As for stories themselves… I did write some in French 20+ years ago, disguised as fanfiction. Thankfully time wiped them off the internets (at least, I hope so!?) and no trace remains of the cringiness of my late teens lol.
As for AI, if the theme suits the limits of the Machine God (praise the Omnissiah!) I could give it a shot!

BG3 is crack. 
Paladins are my go-to characters in almost every fantasy RPG, tabletop or otherwise. My longest lasting D&D character was a LG Paladin (alignements don’t exist anymore, but whatever) and I think you nailed an important aspect of their personality - doing “Good”, no matter the cost. Righteous and unwavering, no compromises. So I can see how that fits into your scenario, ie. destroying parts of a city to root out a greater evil would be in-character for them.

I never imagined myself gigantic, not really something I’ve given much thought, but that could be a fun thing to render!
I wouldn’t, first and foremost because even if I get off fantasizing about shrinking, thinking about its consequences IRL really kills all the fun for me. My mind and imagination are free of such restrictions of course, but I’ve learned (or, rather, am learning) that having these thoughts and imagining those scenarios do not define who I really am, and how I act IRL. 
Like others have said, if I pretend for a second that such a thing is possible… let’s say with her full consent, reversibility and safety (and somehow going against physics and the law of conversion of mass), well, sure, let’s try!
