@littlest-lily I’d love to know more about Blue’s past. It seems like she’s always been small, implying that she was bred for this role. Is she as chronologically old as she appears? Did she have a tiny childhood before she was sold? Did she ever have a choice about her fate?
I think there’s room for people just ever so slightly unnaturally large. 7-footers are rare but they’re not unheard of. What most people expect to see when they look at a 7-footer is someone who is seven feet long. That’s markedly different than, say, a 5’9" dude proportionally enlarged to 7’0" in height. That person is going to get double-takes from everyone, but no one will be able to confidently say “that’s unnatural.”
Bigger than that and you have a guy who will have real difficulty navigating the built environment and will provoke people to call the authorities.

@littlest-lily Yup, it’s time to meet more of Aiden’s social circle (since Evie’s has quite literally shrunk out of sight).
German, another language with gendered nouns, has Riese and Riesin for male and female giants, respectively. Oddly, German uses the same word, Zwerg, to refer both to IRL people with dwarfism and to imaginary people who are Tom Thumb-sized. And yes, a female “dwarf” is a Zwergin.

Provocatively, when Rebecca Sugar wrote her Sizey song for Steven Universe, she didn’t write “All I wanna do is see you turn into a giantess.” I don’t think we need to limit ourselves to a single-word term for “male giant” or “giant man.”

@sloppy_amy I’ve found that it’s difficult to crush a skull that’s still in use.
I only discuss this with people online, and only with those who know me as “Olo” (I have normie accounts for normie business). SizeCon is the glaring exception.
My longtime partner knows of my F/m enthusiasms, but she’s not interested in any Sizey stuff. Once I decided to go to SizeCon last year I haven’t had to dance around the subject, but it’s still not something I go on at length about.
