Giant knight thoughts

I have a mental image now of a giant in armour just sitting down enjoying the tranquility only for someone to ride up and challenge them each time the persons deafeated they come back with bigger weapons and seige weapons only to be easily turned away by the kind giant. The plot twist he sits among the broken weapons of war the defeated general rides up and informs him that he has bested them what are his demands to leave in peace the giant shrugs and replies you could have just asked as he strolls off

@The-Big-G Giving off some “how’s the serenity?” vibes. Love this!

I tend to be more into shrinking/tiny woman scenarios, which is wonderfully compatible with knights since so much fantasy includes fairies, elves, etc.
I wonder how many blacksmiths they would need to acquire to make a giant knight’s armor though? Honestly, would he even need it?

-
@blehb The armor is a symbol of his office. It announces his authority and reminds him of his duty.
-
@Olo And he looks very dashing in it, which is all the reason he needs to be honest.

It’s probably the restraint, both overt and understated, posed against the sheer power, and what they could do if they weren’t restrainted by their morals.
I come at it from the giant end, obviously, but every time I think about a more gentle scenario, there’s this obvious dynamic of, ‘I could do this to you. I won’t, because I’m not an asshole, but that has nothing to do with your ability to stop me.’ that flavors the mental space so much. A giant has that same dynamic effect the whole area (instead of the SW being vulnerable to it from everyone else), and with a knight… there’s this energy of, ‘I trained to be able to fight’, that they’re more than just being big, and thus they destroy things, they’re a precision machine of destruction, similarly to giant robots in the like; there’s that extra element of refined power.

Yes, absolutely! A lot of gentle giant scenarios carry this sort of feeling already, but there’s that extra level of consciousness for characters built/trained to fight - as you say, a refined power. I absolutely love that with gentle giants, makes them that much more lovable. Be still, my beating heart.

@miss-lillipants All of the BG3 talk is solidifying the next story I plan on writing. Gale / shrunken sorceress OC. I am completely feral for that character right now. And the fairy scene in act 2, ack! It was wonderful.
The only question is, should I have an OC as the tiny woman? Or should I just make it pure fan fiction, and maybe have Shadowheart get shrunk? Or Karlach? Still figuring that part out.
Anyway yes. Armor can be very hot. Sorry to get off topic in this forum but Dame Aylin can get it. It also might be fun to write about a male Aasimar paladin, if they’re all that tall.
-
@tiny-ivy awww Gale is my favourite charming soft boy
he’d make a wonderful giant (to an SW or literal, I have also explored this).I think Aylin’s character helped solidify my thoughts on the range and flexibility of paladin characters: she’s very proud, charismatic (glorious, even) and driven by a strong sense of justice, but she’s also intense, horrifyingly violent and has the absolute audacity 24/7. I wouldn’t quite want that for my main giant, but they would make for some great tension!
-
@tiny-ivy a shrunken Karlach would be so adorable! She’d be perfect at any size. Dare I say, I wouldn’t mind her being a Giantess
-
Meanwhile I’m an Asterion simp - though that’s probably just thanks to his pretty boy design and Neil Newbon’s work heh. It would be reeeally bad if he became a giant

(By the way, I’m so happy to see this many other gamer girls here~!)

Argh, stop… I can only take so much

Unsuprinsingly, she’s my half-elf bae (I know, I know…) But she’s perfect to me (and would be even more once teeny-tiny!). The companions in this game are really next-level…

It’s a tough choice between Gale and Halsin for me. I crushed on the both of them SO HARD, for different reasons. I wish Halsin had more depth (I’d happily swap out the whole bear…thing
), but he makes up very well with that mellow voice and that body. God help me when they updated some dialogue and the kissing animation, fuck
More importantly, both can have their own different GT/SW scenarios!

I look forward to whatever you might create

I don’t know if any of those look like what you had in mind, but I love Pallys so much I couldn’t resist generating some!
