I just asked this question on Tumblr. Thought it was worth posting here too.
Question for tinies:
Your wish is granted! You have the opportunity to shrink down to your ideal tiny size…whatever size that may be. But if you do, the shrinking process will have long-term side effects. You will stay tiny for twenty-four hours before growing back to normal size. Then you’ll stay normal-sized for twenty-four hours. Then you’ll shrink again and stay tiny for twenty-four hours, then you’ll be normal for twenty-four hours, and the pattern will continue repeating itself every twenty-four hours for the rest of your life. The cycle is irreversible. You will never be able to control your size. You will never be able to control the timing of your shrinking and growing.
If you choose not to shrink yourself, you will avoid the whole cycle of involuntary size-changing, but you will also be stuck at normal human size forever, with no possible way of ever becoming a tiny and making your fantasies real. (THE HORROR.

@protect-tinies Gosh, I never know how to answer these kinds of hypotheticals. Because at the end of the day, if it were for real… no. I wouldn’t shrink. It would destroy my life

If it’s like clockwork 24 big 24 smol I’d see it as any other disability/sickness treatment plan not being a shrinkey myself that’s how I would pitch it to who ever was going to grant me that fantasy. Dose it also take into account time zones if so like booking a flight yes I only need the second seat for half the flight well after the stop over my girlfriend will be inside my underwear so we will only need the one seat

@littlest-lily Yes, it’s kind of up to the interpretation of the reader to decide how seriously or non-seriously to take the scenario! Hehe. Some people are unflinchingly realistic about it…others treat it as “just for funzies.” That’s the thing about having a fantasy that’s physically impossible.
If nothing else, sometimes the scenarios make for interesting conversation starters, like “What would happen if you accidentally ended up in that situation? That could be turned into a story…” -

Absolutely. I already know that my job would be more than okay with me working from home every other day unfortunately my numbers wouldn’t be as good on those days considering I would have to hop from key to key on the computer. Get chores and important tasks done on days that I’m a normal sized while also prepping for myself to shrink the next day. So mini food prepping, making sure the house is safe for me to run around and explore. Items like the remote, my phone or lab top I’ll need at floor level so I can also keep myself digitally entertained. Certain friends and family are more than welcome to visit me on my tiny days, I would hide a spare key for them. I find this very doable just gotta navigate your shrinking cycle
