Variety article on upcoming The Miniature Wife
-
@miss-lillipants I am beyond hyped for this series!
I love that they’re still going for a serious tone overall, in spite of this being labeled as a comedy. Lots of information in the article, like Lindy seems to be a very successful woman, a Pulitzer Prize winner no less. Her reaction to being shrunk seems to be mostly anger which is always fun to me
Oh and they are going to be using lots of oversized props and practical effects! Can’t wait to see the trailer, which should be out in the next few weeks…

Scidram has compiled a very exhaustive list of everything we know so far about the show :

Obviously we didn’t get a trailer but since it’s on Peacock there’s a large chance that they will use a Superbowl spot for this, probably for a late March/early April release. Only a few months left to go…
-
We are but days away from seeing the first trailer for The Miniature Wife, either at the Superbowl or during the Olympics. Finally, after all this time! The rumoured air date is now April 9th, and the main cast is know mostly known :
Only a bit more patience now…
-
Well that didn’t take long
Enjoy the short teaser (trailer should come out later this month!)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-otj5Ik2eg

“Finally the teaser trailer… and the visual effects are amazing
!!!”The M/f nteractions are very promising. Let’s hope they happen as often as possible. Elizabeth Banks… she’s so adorable as a shrunken woman

I loved the whole don’t freak out and tiny elephant in the room statement
-
More watching of trailer are we all over looking the most important thing she has coffee at her shrunken size
-
@The-Big-G And a bullhorn?
All my M/f stories and discussions can be found here.
-
@Olo yes she even had coffee before she knew she was shrunk how detailed is that doll house
-
@The-Big-G As a veteran Size world-builder I’m guessing that they know how to safely reduce non-organic materials and they perfectly replicated their own house down to the appliances in miniature before she woke up.
-
In the book he does shrink stuff for her, so that’s how she’s getting the tiny things her size. I wish she was in an actual dollhouse rather than one with plumbing and electricity but I understand it’s easier for them with the sets and all.
-
@foreverlurk I’m sure Banks appreciates a set with functioning plumbing rather than a chamber pot.
-
So looking forward to it

Short clip from an interview with Elisazeth Banks, promotion for Miniature Wife during the Superbowl pre-show. I just love how they’re casually talking about shrinking, and that they actually used a doll prop for him to record his lines, basically doing “sizey roleplay” IRL when filming.

“He accidentally shrinks you…” Hahaha, yes… an accident. Totally!

I’m expecting the full trailer to drop around March 8th, so only a few more weeks now. In the meantime, Collider published a new picture from the show!
In anticipation of the premiere, we’re excited to spotlight the adaptation with a new image of a teenie tiny Banks as part of Collider’s Exclusive Preview series for upcoming spring television shows and movies.
Love that she beheaded the Nutcracker prince, and how she’s using the earbuds
Also shows that she’ll remain shrunk for a long time, which is great for character development and the effect that will have on her mental health. I mean, it’s one thing to be tiny for a day, but for weeks… months?!
