Variety article on upcoming The Miniature Wife

I’m expecting the full trailer to drop around March 8th, so only a few more weeks now. In the meantime, Collider published a new picture from the show!
In anticipation of the premiere, we’re excited to spotlight the adaptation with a new image of a teenie tiny Banks as part of Collider’s Exclusive Preview series for upcoming spring television shows and movies.

Love that she beheaded the Nutcracker prince, and how she’s using the earbuds
Also shows that she’ll remain shrunk for a long time, which is great for character development and the effect that will have on her mental health. I mean, it’s one thing to be tiny for a day, but for weeks… months?! -
@foreverlurk I’m going out of town (and, hopefully, offline) next week, but I’ll return home on March 7. The trailer is forbidden from being released before then.

I’m very sorry @Olo but the new trailer is OUT!

It’s a “poof” shrink
but seems to be shrinking out of clothes!
Also : Handheld, finger cuddles, giant wedding ring…

Couldn’t resist uploading a few screenshots

Handheld… is it their first?

She’s less than 6 inches, maybe 5?

Finger hug

Might just be the scale of the VFX not being 100% consistent between scenes.

Can’t ever trust normies to focus on the most important details on the show /jk
Even with a tape measure they failed

That’s below six inches!

Entertainment Weekly created a short reel to advertise their coverage of The Miniature Wife. I made a copy for my SW archive :

Here is their article:
https://ew.com/the-miniature-wife-elizabeth-banks-matthew-macfadyen-cover-story-exclusive-11937650Loved this quote

“What interested me about it was just the conversation: What is soft power versus hard power,” says Banks who, alongside Macfadyen, also signed on as an executive producer. “Because obviously he’s physically huge and could squash [shrunken] me like a bug, but I have a lot of soft power in the relationship and influence over him and know how to use it.”
Also using props to make her feel smol

“The ultimate goal was to do as many things as we could to make this feel grounded for Elizabeth, because the bigger the prop, the more she felt like a 6-inch tall woman…”
JUST OVER A WEEK LEFT… this is it!

I want to rewatch it fully and take my time to properly digest it before I commit to writing a review, but just as a general feeling I’m still amazed that this show even exists. They managed to included so many details that tells me someone on the writing team is either “one of us”, or they seriously did their homework.
Of course I have plenty of nitpicking and things I would have preferred to see (or not see) but to me this is destined to be a classic in the size community. There is also rumors of a second season, but for me this story is done, and I don’t see how they could top it. Sure, I’m never against MORE shrinking women, but that by itself is not enough to make a mainstream show.
Meanwhile, I’ve posted some clips (one per episode) on my channel if you want to take a look but beware, they all include spoilers (they are currently blocked by copyright in the USA, but visible everywhere else)
