      So I’ve been playing GW2 lately, and I’ve been amazed by how much stuff in the game involves growing/shrinking. I thought I’d make a little thread of various examples throughout the game.

        One of the engineer class abilities, “Elixir S”, has you drink a shrink potion that shrinks you small enough to evade attacks.

          One of the playable races, Norn, look like massive hulking vikings, standing over 9 ft tall!

            The Warrior class has an elite ability, “Rampage”, which causes your character to enlarge about 50% bigger, then get various angry smashing attacks. It’s basically turning into The Hulk.

              There’s an area event where scientist students shrink themselves. You need to shrink yourself as well, then save them from the mosquitoes attacking them.

                There are two “novelty” tonics which permanently make your character twice as large or twice as small. This is based on your character’s base height. So Norn who take the growth one become freaking MASSIVE

                  I played GW2 for a hot minute and I was so jealous of all the size changing goodness it had…sucks I’m so addicted to FFXIV. Mini is basically a detriment in that game, but sometimes I purposely throw myself in the line of fire to get shrunk >.>;

                        @Jitensha well the good news is the game doesn’t need a subscription to play. So if you wanted you could play both, without it costing you an arm and a leg

                          One of the Fractals of the Mists levels, Cliffside Fractal, has you freeing a colossus from a group of cultists.

                            Oh! Just realized I should show pics for the races. Here’s the smallest race, Asura, next to the biggest race, Norn.

                              @BryTheGuy Oh I know, I purchased the game long ago, I just don’t have time for both 😞

                                @Jitensha ok, fair enough.
                                I think I was more drawn to this game because classes are a lot more free-form. You can choose what weapons to use, and they give you different attacks with different properties. Then you choose your class skills and passive effects and lots of other stuff. Its one area FF14 is pretty weak in, since the classes are pretty rigid for the sake of making them smoother to play.

                                  to be clear, I don’t say this in the vein of “one is better than the other”. Both systems have benefits. Its just a matter of personal preference, in terms of what you find fun about MMOs.
