If I were so lucky as to have a two-inch-tall lady in my custody, every day I would threaten to eat her but not actually do it. I would take it as a challenge to make my threats so convincing and varied that every day she would believe me and think “That’s it, this is The Day.” I’d also have to have a convincing reason each day why my meal has to be postponed. Anticipating this daily performance would be the most compelling reason to get up each morning.

That’d be frightening, I don’t think getting eaten is something to take lightly, that’s something she wouldn’t get used to or don’t take seriously.
I’ve thought about a variant of what you say. In my fantasy, I set up a number of days and tell her for example "Sadly for you, I will eat you in 45 days, that’s not negotiable, I’m just being upfront with you so we can enjoy our time together until you become a small meal for me*. The don’t mention it again, maybe some small suggestion like “It’s sad this fun is coming to an end…” I’d be curious about how much she mentions it, tries to bargain or take account of the days.
Would she know how many days she has left? Would she become insane the day before she will get eaten? If I really plan to do it this sort of stuff can spice things up.

I mean, that’s the Dread Pirate Roberts thing, isn’t it? ‘Good night, Wexley, sleep well, I’ll probably kill you in the morning’.
Not matter how seriously you act, if you say it every time and never go through, and never, like, eat anyone else to show that your willing to do it, after awhile it’d feel like a bluff, I’d think. Or, even an inside joke or something.
Me: I’m going to eat you!

swoons dramatically
Me: Mwahahaha!
spoons her up with some food and puts her into my mouth
Her: You monster!

All you would have to do is just casually glance down at me and say I’m going to eat you and it would be instant hysterics followed by thousands of little apologies and pleas -
