Oh my gosh, that was excellent.

First and foremost, you are a fantastic writer and your descriptions and style are incredibly engaging.

I love how you describe Phillip, both physically and in terms of his personality. I can see him in my mind’s eye, and he sounds like my kind of giant. Caring but also intimidating and the way that you write fear play is top-notch:

His gargantuan leather boots thumped steadily on the slate floor. Each step was like thunder rolling closer as they barreled through the air with no regard for whatever might be underfoot, crumbs and grit crunching as they were trampled into the slate. She swallowed dryly at the sight, at the thought that he wouldn’t even notice if he had accidentally trodden on her.

I may be swooning a little bit.

Honestly, those types of giants are my go-to, whether they are intentionallty choosing to be intimidating or not! Ultimately softies at heart (or they learn to be) ️

The holy trinity of vulnerability, insignificance and yet being the only thing that matters, the center of his world.

I’m afraid I don’t. Tbh I haven’t really thought about opening up an account somewhere, mostly because I’m not as active as I used to be with writing. I used to have stuff on dA or posted on other forums, but they’ve either been wiped or archived somewhere I don’t keep track of. I’ll have a think about AO3! I always thought it was for fanfic stuff, but I am clearly mistaken.

It was a notable exclamation in the 1900s! But I’d like to imagine Borrowers making it their own thing, like they heard it and used it, or it developed separately and was already in use, or that they also misheard “Jesus Christ” being said and it stuck. Perhaps all three across space and time, with different Borrower clans having their own reasons (and so the lore building continues).

Giants always give themselves away.

@miss-lillipants AO3 is a fantastic platform, I second you setting up camp there. It’s especially great for taboo subjects, which… well, you never know when you’ll be in the mood for something risqué. The tagging system is what sets it apart from other writing sites, anything goes as long as it is properly tagged. There’s also an audience for original works and I’ve got quite a massive collection of size fiction privately bookmarked. And an anonymous collection for when I’m brave enough to share my own.
