What's it Like?

Hey little dolls!
I’m new here and I have been in love with the idea of shrinking a lovely woman and turning her into my personal little Barbie doll. I am writing some Shrunken Women stories and i know how to write from the giants perspective, but I don’t know what it’s like being the one who is shrunk, and because of this I feel like my doll characters are lacking.

I would love to hear from the shrunken women on this site and what their experiences have been like, don’t spare any details I wanna know everything! I wanna write from the shrunken perspective as authentically as possible.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated, plus I’d just love to hear from the other shrunken women!

@RogerRoger I’m not a SW, but may I also suggest reading a few M/f stories by female authors? For me that was such an eye-opening experience, one that wasn’t possible 20 years ago in the male-gaze dominated landscape.

Here on this forum you find stories by @miss-lillipants , @skysayl and @littlest-lily and more, that cover a wide variety of settings that should give you some insights into the alternate POV.

And yes… I could easily listen to them talk for hours about their perspectives, why they like being tiny or shrunk, the appeal in it, etc.

@RogerRoger As much as I do love writing from the shrunken perspective (thanks Lurk~), I feel like this is such an open ended question that I’m not even sure where to start! There are all kinds of ways it could go, depending on whether it’s a sweet and gentle scenario, a teasing one, a cruel one; whether she’s been freshly shrunken or has been tiny for most/all her life; and of course the individual personalities of the big and small parties involved.

Do you have anything more specific in mind that you’re looking for?

@littlest-lily Oooh this could be a fun activity! @RogerRoger give us some specific scenarios, and the tinies can share what they personally would enjoy out of that story! You’ll probably get a variety of answers though- it really boils down to each person’s tastes and personality!

Also maybe a point of clarification - is the question about what do women (like the IRL versions of ourselves) get out of this kink of being tiny? Or is it more about how would a SW character feel about being shrunk? I think for the most part it would lead to very different answers.

@RogerRoger Indeed there’s all kinds of scenarios that bring out feelings of fear, humiliation, and feeling very tiny!

For me as a man who enjoys tiny ladies, one of the things that made me “feel” what it might be like was imagining myself as the woman in the scenario. What if I “was” a woman, would I dress up, would I want to become smaller, and what size would I become? When I was walking around, I looked up at a giant building, and imagined at that size, a person being that tall, and it actually made my heart race and I got very overwhelmed. So there’s a kind of empathic connection from that. I’ve heard from a tiny woman too that when she imagined being a man, she could imagine what height she might be, and what it might be like to see a tiny woman, and what size she would want her to be.

I think this kind of gender swapping mental exercise gave me insight into the fear and anxiety yet the excitement of what it might be like to become a small woman

@RogerRoger Well for me, what I personally get out of this kink and how a SW reacts to being shrunk are heavily related. Her enjoyment/fear/consent/etc. all depend on what kind of scenario I’m in the mood for. Sometimes I want to feel comforted, so I like to imagine a gentle giant earning the trust of a suspicious and fearful tiny. Or I’ll want a more playful setup where the SW is bratty and defiant!

So I hope my response answers both of your questions. I’m sorry if I caused any confusion with the prompt.

As for your example, I think something like a college professor/student scenario would be SO much fun. I love any situation where the power dynamic gets flipped. So imagining a college professor (typically older, highly-educated, responsible) shrunk by a student (younger, laid-back, maybe a bit irresponsible) is perfect. Why he shrank her is important too: did he just think she was hot? Did she piss him off by failing him? Either way, I feel like this would be a very degrading situation for her, as there is a complete change in power and status for the two of them! (This doesn’t reflect my own views- but this is how society tends to view things, and for role play purposes it can be fun!)

So I think she would be intimidated at first, and then maybe try to assert her authority over the student… which he quickly puts an end to, I would imagine. If I was writing this, I would make the teacher clever and always planning some sort of escape from the giant. Unfortunately for her, due to their size, the student completely dominates the situation. He can be as lazy and carefree as he wants, but she’s not getting away because he’s so much bigger and powerful. It would be very humiliating!
