    • RE: Science? I Laugh in the Face of Science!

      @TakoAlice8 Funny I had the same discussion on Discord a few days ago - another dimension could have very different properties. Some theories, such as String Theory, allows in its framework the existence of multiple universes. Each universe would have its own set of physical laws and constants, which could be vastly different from ours.

      Maybe it’s a bit of copium on my part (I want my shrink ray, dammit!), but seriously there’s still so much we don’t know.

      RP’s can get spicy so if you’re in a relationship and another girl online is getting your dick hard and your girl isn’t aware then yes it’s cheating.

      That’s fair. The thing is that I’m usually a pretty chill dude in most circumstances, but if SW are involved then I have a really hard time keeping my cool. So while I knew what I was doing was wrong, I couldn’t resist. 😧

      @SmolChlo said in Is role playing a form of cheating?:

      Share this with your partner right off the rip so it gives them a fair chance to make a decision on if they’d like to continue with you

      And that’s the loop I was stuck into, guilt vs fear of losing her. That’s why IMHO that’s a conversation that needs to come early in a relationship (again, not trying to make excuses, but I waited far too long)

      It’s only a 45 hour drive for me 😖 Anyone wants to join me on an adventure? 🤠

      Seriously I’ll try to figure something out, as I’ve always wanted to visit Vancouver and the West Coast, but I’m not sure I can justify it financially just for the Con.

    • RE: Honey, I shrunk the models

      @skysayl hehe I’ll admit I almost didn’t post that one but from a pure technical angle it’s incredible 😲

      I can imagine the pure joy of finding clothes that fit your new size after being shrunk… only to get them stolen by an ant lol. Just slightly humiliating 😁

      Thanks! Those slipped my G/t radar, somehow…

      I wonder how you can ensure that it’s not your fate… lol

      I don’t know if you were asking seriously, or maybe you misunderstand, but in my country we can make plans (with safeguards, of course) for this eventuality.

    • RE: Does your size identity affect your body image?

      My body image isn’t affected by my size identity, since I don’t really have a size identity- beside wanting to shrink ladies down, which makes me a relative giant I guess.

      I’d rather not think of how I would look like from her vantage point - every defect magnified - my physical self-worth is low enough already. I honestly can’t fathom how scary I’d be to a 3" tall woman.

      Beyond that, aging is something that is hitting me more than I anticipated, I’m over the midpoint of my life expectancy and while I’m not afraid of death per se, I’m already dreading the slow decline that will inescapably happen.

      @Epic_Illusionist Very nice!

      She was involved in my early SW discoveries (beside the animated ones, I mean) due to young me seeing this ad on TV :

      @Olo me, as soon as I saw Warin’s render earlier on my feed…Toyogub!

      Toyogub-san was the first SW artist I found when searching the internet ages ago. Always nice to see those tributes, like the one illustrating your story, Olo.

    • RE: Does your size identity affect your body image?

      @coolguy69 Oh I’m not really too hung up on my physical appearance. It’s more a realistic take on what I have (and have not) to offer.

      Growing older well - uh, this is off topic but - of course there’s the physical aspect : you’re not as much in shape in your 40s than in your early 20s. You need more regular visits to the doctor’s office, and medical tests. You feel signs that some parts of your body are raising the white flag.

      But that’s not what scares me. I’ve recently lived through the pain of losing a parent to dementia. I would not wish it on even the most foul human being, yet it happened to the kindest, most gentle soul that ever was. She went away slowly, forgetting everything about her life, about the people she loved, and it took years for her suffering to end.

      I’m not scared of death, but this is worse. That will not be my fate.

    • RE: I wish there was a term for exclusively male giants

      @AnnDViant in French we say “géant” (male) and “géante” (female), always have. Sadly, there’s no real single word for a shrunken (or tiny) woman, which again hurts visibility and searchability. The closest we have is “lilliputienne” (i.e. an inhabitant of Lilliput, used as an adjective), but it’s not seen very often.

      There’s also not much size literature in French, in our folklore or popular culture. Charles Beaudelaire did write a poem called “La géante” in his seminal “Les fleurs du mal” :

      La géante

      Du temps que la Nature en sa verve puissante
      Concevait chaque jour des enfants monstrueux,
      J’eusse aimé vivre auprès d’une jeune géante,
      Comme aux pieds d’une reine chat voluptueux.
      J’eusse aimé voir son corps fleurir avec son âme
      Et grandir librement dans ses terribles jeux ;
      Deviner si son coeur couve une sombre flamme
      Aux humides brouillards qui nagent dans ses yeux ;
      Parcourir à loisir ses magnifiques formes ;
      Ramper sur le versant de ses genoux énormes,
      Et parfois en été, quand les soleils malsains,
      Lasse, la font s’étendre à travers la campagne,
      Dormir nonchalamment à l’ombre de ses seins,
      Comme un hameau paisible au pied d’une montagne.
