My body image isn’t affected by my size identity, since I don’t really have a size identity- beside wanting to shrink ladies down, which makes me a relative giant I guess.

I’d rather not think of how I would look like from her vantage point - every defect magnified - my physical self-worth is low enough already. I honestly can’t fathom how scary I’d be to a 3" tall woman.

Beyond that, aging is something that is hitting me more than I anticipated, I’m over the midpoint of my life expectancy and while I’m not afraid of death per se, I’m already dreading the slow decline that will inescapably happen.

How did you discover this fetish?

Depends on what you mean by “fetish”. If you mean “When did you discover this was (also) a sexual thing for you?”, then it was at the onset of puberty for me, so around 12 or 13 years old, when I started having sexual fantasies and started using SW daydreams while masturbating (confusing times w/ all the guilt and shame of post-nut clarity, but with added wtf due to tiny girls thoughts ). If your question was more “When did you discover this fantasy?”, for me it was basically always there. I can’t remember a time before, it’s just how I was wired.

How did it manifest?

When I was 5 or 6, the first shrinking scenes in the cartoons I watched at the time, I think it was Alice shrinking in an anime? It made me feel excited, overwhelmed (in a good way), but at the same time I instinctively knew that I had to keep quiet about this. So I felt weird when someone else was in the room when a SW scene came up, I was paranoid that my sister or friends knew about this secret, somehow, so I tried to keep a poker face. If I knew beforehand that a shrinking scene was coming up, I would pretend having to go to the bathroom (but still watch it through the half-opened door).

When I was a teenager, around 16 and had my first sexual relations, I discovered that even during sex I needed these thoughts to go all the way. That was almost always the case, I can have sex without sizey thoughts but my kink makes it hard to really enjoy it otherwise. So I just imagined she was shrinking on my dick or things like that. Again, I always felt some shame and guilt after it for not being able to just enjoy reality as-is, as if I didn’t respect my partner somehow.

What’s the appeal to it?

I have two wolves inside. The cozy, wholesome side is mostly about caring for, and protecting a woman hundreds of times smaller than I am. Between 3 to 6 inches, even smaller. I enjoy dreaming about all things she would do at her size, how adorable everything she would do would be, just melting with complete admiration at the tiny cuteness.

The NSFW side is complicated. It can overlap, meaning I’m still caring and protecting her, but the appeal of shrinking her, or having her used as a sex toy or something is just too strong. I love both con and non-con, so she can also be very into it and worship me like a god of old, or be terrified, both I can enjoy. Both these sides co-exist within me, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Growing older well - uh, this is off topic but - of course there’s the physical aspect : you’re not as much in shape in your 40s than in your early 20s. You need more regular visits to the doctor’s office, and medical tests. You feel signs that some parts of your body are raising the white flag.

But that’s not what scares me. I’ve recently lived through the pain of losing a parent to dementia. I would not wish it on even the most foul human being, yet it happened to the kindest, most gentle soul that ever was. She went away slowly, forgetting everything about her life, about the people she loved, and it took years for her suffering to end.

I’m not scared of death, but this is worse. That will not be my fate.

@AnnDViant in French we say “géant” (male) and “géante” (female), always have. Sadly, there’s no real single word for a shrunken (or tiny) woman, which again hurts visibility and searchability. The closest we have is “lilliputienne” (i.e. an inhabitant of Lilliput, used as an adjective), but it’s not seen very often.

There’s also not much size literature in French, in our folklore or popular culture. Charles Beaudelaire did write a poem called “La géante” in his seminal “Les fleurs du mal” :

I always hesitate to include any reference to feet when I talk about size, because I’m not into feet in the way foot fetish people are. For me it’s all about domination, and a clear and direct reference to the size difference I crave.

@SmolChlo I can’t talk from the SW’s perspective but from my side of things it’s almost like a dream come true, at least that’s very close to some things I imagined for years. Seeing it in VR is mind-blowing the first time, and still is honestly.

If you look at static pictures it probably won’t help you get a feel of how cool it can be, but I know you can also play on desktop in good old 2D to get a preview of what it looks like.

@sirensinner Not open at all. Even as a child I knew something wasn’t quite ‘right’ with me, so I kept this under lock and key, even more so after puberty.

I did try to tell the women who shared my life, but I never could. Awkward, introverted & shy, so communication has never been my forte, let alone discussion about my secret fetish. I have lots of respect to people coming out to their partners.

To further answer your question, some people like to use furry avatars, others like semi-human beasts, some like plain old humanoid avatars. Custom avi are a lot of work but I’ve seen incredibly talented people create stuff like dragonborns or almost actual dragons, giant snakes, etc. No limits really. I chose to get a plain looking avatar but I’m thinking of getting a good looking one commissioned at some point.

There are rooms which are purely for hanging out, chat, listen to music, watching videos/movies, etc. There are some worlds with fun little quests/puzzles and interactions. Outside of VRChat there are also other virtual worlds but none as popular right now. Also since VRC added avatar scaling (ie. shrinking/growing) it has become very easy to create sizey worlds with that in mind. They added stuff like collision so that we can hold tinies without them “falling” through giant hands or bodies. They added climbing too, so that tinies can “explore” giants. Oh and while the soundscape isn’t exploited to all its sizey potential IMHO, the spatial 3D audio is delightful… having a SW moving around my head from one shoulder to the other sent ASMR-like tingles to my brain

The only thing is that in VRC, the most advanced worlds (those with proper physics) require the use of a PC. The PC will use its GPU and CPU to render the world, basically streaming the info to your headset. Otherwise you can still access some sizey worlds in “standalone” / Quest mode (ie. with the headset alone), but it’s a bit more limited.

Alsoooo, I’ve heard it can be quite jarring at first to be picked up when tiny, hehe… I’ve literaly heard (‘squeeeee’) it, I mean

In the book he does shrink stuff for her, so that’s how she’s getting the tiny things her size. I wish she was in an actual dollhouse rather than one with plumbing and electricity but I understand it’s easier for them with the sets and all.
