I mean, the obvious choice is to make our own version, because that is clearly built around GTS logic. So, why not have one built around SW logic?

@i-am-insane The OP doesn’t seem to have used any “logic” at all; they just thought of nine different shrinking scenarios they’d come across before and tried to plug 'em in. (If it shrinks “everyone,” doesn’t that really mean it shrinks no one?)

I only posted it as another example of how SWs just don’t exist for some people. I’m not sure an alignment chart is the best medium for this specific topic. A better application might be, “What is your reason for keeping one or more SWs?”

But yeah when I was writing my shrinking virus story, my headcanon was it only shrank people many years past being full grown. Something something telomeres and growth hormones and neuroplasticity and something.

The alignment chart was a very poor format for this.

@Olo As long as it’s kept to fantasy, I try not to judge preferences like “all-men-shrink-because-reasons.” I’ve explored the opposite concept myself (which turned out to be some of my darkest stories).

I’ve always liked the idea of everyone shrinking but one or two people. It’d be interesting to see how the normal-sized person reacts. As a savior? A destroyer? You can create dozens of different stories just from that one concept.

I mean, it’s very noticeable that shrinking men is default called good; it’s the same format in a lot of GTS stories, only put on a chart. The fundamental logic behind it is that shrinking men is good, and that denying men to be shrunk is fundamentally bad. If it was presented differently, I’d call it loaded language, but I’m not sure if that actually applies in this specific context.

Regardless, out of spite for both this chart, the overwhelming net dominance of GTS in general, and just because I like SW, I want to make a chart completely around SW only.

Gotta say I’m a true neutral. I love a more intimate experience.

I think that’s why I’m not the biggest fan of growth scenarios. That’s too many people my giant is interacting with and I get jealous.
