    • RE: What are your favorite clothing items for giants/tinies?

      @blehb Nothing. There, I said it. 😁

      My only inner pockets are on my winter coat but they are very comfy, if too warm. You could literally wear nothing at all and still be comfortable. Did I just say my favourite clothing for SW is nothing? Damn.

      Okay I’ll try again : I do love makeshift clothes, like hastily done only to recover some dignity. Anything a tiny woman fashions herself from bits and pieces of tissue, plastic, grass blades, whatever. It’s incredibly cute to my eyes. The classic tissue toga is the best.

    • RE: I found a crumb of M/f in a manga

      @skysayl said in I found a crumb of M/f in a manga:

      There was even a macrophile they interviewed who imagined herself as a tiny mouse to hide from everything that frightened her.

      Such an interesting subject! I’ve recently had a discussion on the origins of our kink with a woman telling me almost the same thing verbatim - a way to deal with fears and trauma. There seems to be a good degree of correlation with anxiety overall.

      Don’t know about other microphiles, I’ve mentioned before that one place it could stem from is extreme shyness. Social phobia wasn’t taken as seriously back then, especially in children (“oh it’s just a phase, it’ll pass”). I guess the thought of shrinking others, making myself bigger in some situations, might have been an internal coping mecanism?

      The desire to protect (or control 🤤) is harder to pinpoint - I always loved taking care of smaller animals, or looking after my younger siblings. Beyond that, I think I felt like I lacked control in my life - so having control over another smaller person could have been projection on my part.

      Rendering someone helpless and harmless (ie. shrinking) meant I could approach her in spite of said shyness, annnd also act as caretaker. Don’t know if this makes any sense? How all this also became a kink, I’m at a complete loss to explain beyond “hurr durr, me wants tiny woman” 😕

    • RE: About age verification impacting this website

      They are trying to pass such a law in Canada, too. I think it depends where the website is physically hosted, and from where you’re trying to access it. But I share you worries about the future of privacy and censorship.

      For what it’s worth, I did see size content before the age of 18 (shocking, I know!), I wasn’t traumatized by it and it helped me tremendously on my road to acceptance. Just learning that I wasn’t alone, for one.

    • RE: Extreme hyperphantasia

      @Mrgoblinging7 Well first off when I was young I thought all imaginations were like that? 😂 I don’t know, it’s just one of the things you realize growing up that you have, like having a perfect pitch, or being able to hold a beat, or being colour-blind. You think it’s the same for everyone at first.

      For sure this has caused me issues… it’s hard to let go when you can revisit moments in your memory, and re-experience them vividly, especially of times when you were happier. Might explain my tendency towards nostalgia, and why I still remember detailed stuff from childhood.

      It also means I’m at the mercy of some fiction authors lol. If I really like what I’m reading, I go all in and view those scenes in my head. If it’s something really fucked up, I am NOT okay afterwards. But I still wouldn’t want to be rid of it. I’m just highlighting the cons.

      Antidepressants somewhat tinker with hyperphantasia btw (along with a shit load of other things), makes memories and feelings more neutered and colourless. But hey, at least you don’t spend your day crying in a corner so that’s a plus, right? 😕

    • RE: Another Size Kink Article

      @blehb said in Another Size Kink Article:

      @foreverlurk Luckily, in defense of the article, the experts and personal experiences state it could be from more serious childhood experiences, OR something as innocent as a TV show. Which I think is reasonable.

      Hehe seriously some experts really like to claim we’re all from the same basket. I guess my point is more that they are inferring the actual cause as being related to those TV shows or traumas, or some parental issues growing up. Their sources are non-existent or purely based on their own observations, aka “trust me bro”.

      To be fair judging by the doctor’s TikTok he seems mostly versed in the shrunken men/giantess fetish.

      @miss-lillipants Thanks for sharing that article. Sadly, I’ve yet to see some in-depth research done specifically for size kinks (we don’t talk about Dr. Helen Friedman).

      I agree there’s no be-all / end-all explanation to their origin, I’m not trying to find a universal truth. I’d just like to understand myself better.

    • RE: Have you ever had a "size interaction" in real life?

      @blehb said

      It’s a line I want to cross but I can’t bring myself to do it. 😖

      Same. I suck at this so much. I don’t want to wallow up in self-pity again, but me being a dom cishet male in my 40s brings a whole lot of bonus difficulty to opening up (perceived or real), that some in the “it’s-no-big-deal” crowd might not have to account for.

      Or maybe that’s just my excuse ¯_ (ツ)_/¯

      I mean, folks don’t tend to post their L’s online, but I’ve had some private conversations with people who “came out” to their partners about their size kink and things went horribly wrong. You don’t really hear about those, but it’s always a possibility.

      (Chlo I’m sure you’ll be fine, please don’t mind me) 😂

      @blehb I love amour, the heavier the better. To be fair, armoured tinies can be fun too! I might have bought an 1/18 scale WH40K Adepta Sororitas, and even at 4 inches tall she’s pretty badass (and yes, the company is really called “JoyToy”) 🙄

    • RE: Keep Your Workbench Tidy

      @Olo I can still tell pretty easily, but then again I’ve spent hundreds of hours generating content and my eyes can spot the telltales of generative AI.

      I do love the way you describe them as being statistically generated - a much better term IMHO, closer to reality (Markov Chain).

    • RE: Secret sizey moments

      As Big G mentionned, any very short (5’2" and under) women can trigger spontaneous sizey thoughts. Even taller ones, depending on the vibe - yes, she’s hot, but what if smol

      Otherwise it’s the most random things - a woman wearing an oversized piece of clothing, or struggling to reach the top shelf at the grocery store. Or just using an everyday expression (ie. “I’d like to be as small as a mouse to hear what they said in that meeting!”)

      My mind wanders.

    • RE: Giants or shrinking?

      @blehb said in Giants or shrinking?:

      I love the intimacy of it - like I’m some sort of secret or possession of theirs.

      That’s an important aspect to explain why I want to remain normal size while I shrink my victim or loved one. Being a giant is a different experience, one where intimacy is much harder to achieve.

      In regards to how these relationships are tagged, I usually just refer to the bigger person as the giant

      The classic, “Oh no, I’m not a giant; you’re the one who’s tiny, my dear.” 😏

    • RE: I wish there was a term for exclusively male giants

      @i-am-insane ‘minigirl’ is pretty common for manga/manhwa, hentai and other Asian media, but hasn’t caught on anywhere else. Not having a single, easy word for “tiny woman” has been a problem for finding content since forever, made even worse by the enshittification of search engines over the years. “Shrinking woman” is even harder to look for, since you get lobbed with tons of irrelevant (to us!) stuff like weight loss, dwarfism, anorexia, etc.

    • RE: Giants or shrinking?

      @coolguy69 YES! Knowing what’s going on in that tiny body and head of hers is… 👌

      Kink aside, I would dream of being the scientist having to record what a women is experiencing as she’s shrinking. Hell even with the kink I’d be a super annoying giant “describe how I look to you”, “how does it feel when you get smaller”, or “are you scared of me?”. Give me ALL the details straight in my veins.
