Having been with a very short girl, the topic of her height came up often. I never brought it up but I could never get enough of hearing her talk exasperatedly about how short she was, and meanwhile I was like "um, yes, do go on, dear" while trying to keep my cool. Pathetic, I know lol.

My problem has always been searching for signs when in reality there were none. Good ol’ “I reject your reality and substitute my own” at work!

@Olo oh believe me I know, I worked on systems that would make Orwell blush. Thankfully I’m not at that company anymore but the amount of data we had access to, that people gave willingly, was downright scary.

TikTok probably knows more about (some parts of) me than most of my friends.

I realize it’s almost the antithesis of the kink but I like when power shifts back and forth between G and t (only possible if love or at least gentleness is involved in the scenario).

Different kinds of power, of course. She could never have any physical control, but she probably holds more sway over him overall than the casual observer might notice at first.

Oh I love that idea, it’s just too easy to tie shrinking purely with negative emotions - in a negative light - all the time!

If only I wasn’t struggling with anxiety myself. I think I mentioned before that even from a young age, this fantasy always had a calming effect on me. There’s something about, like @Nyx said, a SW’s “softness and delicateness and quietness” that work just like benzos sometimes.

Having a giant to protect and comfort you also helps with those feelings as well.

And I like to think it can go both ways - not for protection, of course, but a tiny could also help a giant find his inner strength/confidence, and overcome his fears. Which I realize might go against the common trope of an all-powerful, almost infallible giant!

@blehb If we’re talking about visual arts, facial expressions are paramount. It’s hard to design a single scene where both the tiny and giant’s expressions are fully visible while keeping the perspective and size difference intact, but so rewarding when it just works.

But I suppose you meant in written works? I have a few specific, very minor details I love that don’t come up that often :

• Trembling: If you’ve ever held a pet mouse in your palm, you know sometimes they vibrate when they’re nervous. Around that size, I would expect to feel a scared SW trembling and shaking in my hand, which for some reason makes me weak just thinking about it.

• Smell: I love a woman’s smell, I mean, not only the good freshly cleaned smell, but her natural, unaltered scent. The thought of being able to pick her up and smell her as I want, the way I want - everywhere - is heavenly. Even better if our smells are mixed, like with my own saliva or sweat. I guess it’s just hard to describe complex smells in a story.

• Anger: I just like pissed off smols, hehe. Their tiny angry squeaks, or just being so cute when they’re frustrated and trying to be heard. I guess I should add depression and other less common mental states that aren’t explored often in size fiction, for obvious reasons.

Live. Action. Baldur’s Gate?! Whaaaaaaat!? I was in COVID brain fog mode for the last few days, how could I miss that news. I can think of a few scenes! The D&D movie had some nice transformations, Doric becoming a mouse still triggered me a bit hehe.

Yesss! We can only imagine if the shrinking process hadn’t been stopped and she’d have remained two inches tall for the rest of the series.

When they announced the 2017 movie back then I reallllly thought we were going to get some shrunken Cara Delevingne. The title of the movie (“Cité des mille planètes”) was close enough for me to believe they were going by the same storyline.

Sadly, they choose another story, the movie sucked, and I was disappointed (again).

Pretty amazing art for 1968, I think artists back then didn’t have the luxury of the internet or much in terms of mainstream size media to study or draw inspiration from.

I love that balanced sitting position on his shoulders, the way she’s holding on to his hair, and the handheld of course.

Forgot to post my favorite scene, after the machine is destroyed, she’s furious and lamenting “why do these things always happen to girls?!” . I really love angry tinies.

A last one, not size-related but just because she’s a badass spatio-temporal agent (and a redhead):

Just something I found, I guess most of you have seen this classic scif-fi comic from 1968 (no we don’t talk about the 2017 movie ) but someone uploaded a really high quality scan of the first album of the series, La Cité des eaux mouvantes, on Archive.org, which features a very nice SW sequence. Basically this mad scientist wants to test his shrinking device on Laureline (and keep her hostage so that Valérian won’t try any heroics):

Really nice… and did I mention the shrinking is PERMANENT? Sadly, the process is interrupted before it can be completed , so not only it’s now possible for her to revert back to normal(boo!), and instead of ending up two inches, she’s about 8 inches tall:

I can just imagine how weightless yet surprisingly warm her body would feel. What a rush to hold and protect a delicate, tiny life in the palm of my hand.

I’ll never tire of tiny hands interacting with giant fingers. Like, even IRL I always loved comparing my hand size to my GFs (I don’t even have big hands, but yeah)
