I’ve mentioned it before, but I’m honestly a cuddler; when I go to bed, I like to hold a pillow and imagine it’s an SW of some flavor, and depending on my mood build a fantasy around that.
It’s always low key, at least in that point of time, always around sleeping, and generally pretty gentle: even if I’m holding her against her will, she’s always safe (even if she’s surprised at that fact), and finding this a lot more pleasant than she expected.
I get a lot of ideas from that basic foundation.

So, this is about a game (Armored Core, aka AC) about giant robots, which if you want to, you can ignore that (though it’s fucking awesome), but… a significant portion of it is about size.
This game you play as a giant robot, and almost everything is scaled to the size of a giant robot, unless it isn’t, in which case half the time you don’t even notice it’s there (seriously. You walk over cars and it’s something that has absolutely zero effect on you at all, in your ability to move about or interact with the world; you don’t trip, fall, or slow, they just get destroyed under your feet. Same with normal sized buildings). In our various talks about giants and the logistics, we’ve touched on how… off they are, for our world as it is.
When you play AC you play in a world built for giants. You are unstoppable for everything but other giants (or larger giants… all of which you kill, because AC is a game where you kill and destroy everything that goes against you, no matter how much larger it is, and they get pretty damn big). The resources needed for these things to be are absolutely insane. The logistical nightmare of normal sized people trying to live in this land of giants, where everything is huge and far away, is the SW problem, just scaled a size larger.
Honestly, I’m mostly posting this here because a lot of what it talks about is very fitting from the maco end… and also, there’s apparenlty a word for ‘fear of giant things’, AKA our opposite. Who knew?

Honestly, that sheer difference in power informs a lot of how a GT/sw dynamic works, and how, in anything close to a ‘fair’ relationship, the giant has to accommodate the sw, make allowances for her, respect her fragility and how delicate she is, that many things that aren’t a threat or obstacle to him may be serious problems for her, while the sw has to acclimate to the fact that they aren’t in control, in many ways.
Sure, she may be in charge, or telling them what to do, or even manipulating him with pleasure until he’s weak in the knees, but the second he just… reaches over and picks her up all of that goes away; they don’t get to choose what happens to them, where they go, anything. It’s all the giant’s choice, and even the fact he’s not making that choice is, in fact, him choosing not to choose; he allows her that control, it’s not something she has herself.
In reminds me about what people say about Superman vs Batman fights, that Superman has to not use all his natural advantages (like just blasting Batman from space or something) to even allow Batman to get to a situation where they fight at all, allowing him to even be able to have a chance to fight. That those big, dramatic fights are still Clack accommodating his strength against Bruce’s frail humanity.
Seconding Kisupure, I’m kind of weirdly detail orinted at the weirdest times, and a lot of times giants have me asking, ‘How??? How this? How that?’ Something that answers that question, however it shows up, even if it’s just a handwaved, ‘It’s magic, I don’t need to explain shit’, is great for me.
Beyond that… overwhelming. When I look as the giant, I want to casually, accidently dominate the tiny, just by existing. I touch them, they get sent flying. I move my hand when they stand on it, they fall over. Not purposeful threat, but the sheer difference in… existence, that she has to give way for the fact that is Me, and all the consequences that comes from that fact. To be blunt, I want the size to reflect something beyond… human. That they’re fundamentally something that can’t be stopped, but only survived; a force of nature.
When I look at the tiny’s perspective, I want that same dominance to be reflected, but as something that’s happening to them; if the giant is force of nature to them, I want that fact to be shown. There’s a story somewhere where it’s mentioned that the giant (post exercise) is so hot that sitting next to them the tiny feels like she’s in a sauna. Or, when the normal sits on their bed, it deforms under them, and the SW goes tumbling towards them, like gravity. In a bath together (or the ocean), the casual movements of the big make currents that threaten the tiny’s ability to stay afloat, to the point where said big may need to rescue them from… themselves.
That kind of thing brings a certain… weight to the story, a reality that makes it seem more real.

Doesn’t look like it, yet, but there’s a what looks like a normal woman underground doing a similar job for… the Kongs?
Also, they’re slowly breaking away from trying to make this ‘realistic’, so they might get there once they focus on Mothra again.
So, trailer just dropped for the new Godzilla Kong movie. While they’re apparently trying to emphasis the kaiju as actual characters more (which is good, and one of my big issues with the series), the more relevent thing for us is the new villain: Scar King.
A giant orangutan (apparently; also, they’re supposed to be another kaiju maybe), he’s also running an empire, to the extent he’s on a throne? He’s ruling over other Kongs, shown by him roaring to assert dominance over them… and more interesting, there’s a second of him doing that same ‘asserting dominance roar’ on a beach filled with people… which is notable, because outside of Ghidorah, the kaiju generally don’t care about random people, unless they do something to stand out.
Between that, and what looks like more of an emphasis on the more traditional ‘people living with kaiju’ the Japanese movies used to have, this could have some interesting stuff for people into Kong and the like.

The easiest way to work it would be they’re trying to free him, maybe. Though usually with that kind of set up they get something in return for resources/progress. Hmm. A gouche response is he comes or something, but maybe something magic related? Or they need him to protect them from something?

…You know, there’s a game called, ‘Satisfactory’, about being stranded on an alien world, making factories wherever you want and sending the resources to the mega corp that sent you there.
…And all the Pioneers (player character) are women.
…And one of the enemies is a spider, to the point where there’s an arachnophobia mode, like in Grounded.

I’m now picturing this kind of Grounded/Satisfactory fusion setting, where shrunken women make increasingly impossible factories from the stuff around them and mine them… for a giant? Hmm. I’ve been playing around with the idea of a crippled or immobilized giant.

It’s a manga, a lot of it is pretty cliche (dungeons in the real world, players… common if you read that kind of thing), but two things are different:
One, the players get wings, with angel wings being the most common. (except MC, who gets a tail)
And Two… the MC saves a dying player at the start, and she’s loopholed into being a ‘supporter’ instead of dying… AKA Navi. And when she successfully becomes one? She shrinks.
It’s pretty cute; the manga is actually aware of the realities of being small (she struggles to manage an energy bar, and the MC imagines her being trapped under one), and she’s actually an adult, which is always nice.
Sadly, while there’s a low key romantic build up happening, she’s supposed to be able to grow as she advances, so by the time actual romance starts she’ll probably be normal size… though, on the other other hand, by the later chapter I just checked, as well as the cover, she’s still small, so she’ll probably be small long term!

Well, I’m trying to understand, after all; it’s really interesting to me, because in most the ‘GTS Flip’ scenarios I’ve done/proposed, it’s been liked, by women as well as men, but for this… there’s definitely a type of GTS guys seem to like, yet there’s no real equivalent.
So I guess that men like the visual as much, if not more, than the actual scenario (AKA ‘I AM A GIANTESS AND I SQUISH PEOPLE BECAUSE I’M BIG!!!’), while for women it’s the scenario more than the visual.
That… actually works out fine for me, since I prefer a story heavy focus on those blue moons when I write, but it’s good to know.

I mean, you say misogynistic, but really, it feels like they just hate… humans, really. They turn women into tools for the sexuality, lobotomized them into mindless killers or amoral sociopaths as soon as they’re looking at someone smaller, yeah, but at best men generally end up as sex slaves in GTS, if not just killed. So much GTS stuff is just… ‘what if an apocalyptic meteor was a boob or a foot instead’ or something, like they just want everyone and everything to die. I can count actual gentle GTS stuff I remember on one hand, and one of the first size stories I ever found is a gentle one where the man is basiclly unbirthed into a permanent coma at the end.
It’s very… I don’t know, it makes me think of a death cult, sometimes.
So, in Fate Extella, one of the main characters/waifu is not only a GTS (Nasu is an infamous obvious GTS fetishist, considering how many women in his settings end up gigantic), but is a literal world destroying monster. Yet, most of her interaction is kind, and there’s literally a (text only) sequence straight out of a gentle GTS dream (or an sw’s, considering you can have the mc be a female).
I saw someone on a forum say that Altera woke the GTS fetish in him, then he looked it up and lost it because of what he found. Presumably, in the span of the same day.

This. I can get, on the face of it, wanting bigger women because big boobs/legs/etc, but the fandom around drove me off and I never really went back, but I can’t go anywhere size-y without seeing them because they’re everywhere.
