I guess I enjoy the damsel in distress scenario the most, she’s tied to train tracks and the train is coming, and our hero may not make it to rescue her in time or at all, it’s a feeling of riding a Rollercoaster, it has been ridden many times but continues to thrill you. Your victim is stuck on the ride till you choose to stop it, the deep story, or moral is the Rollercoaster is a metaphor for our lives, although we may want to get off the ride, thrill is there for the participant as well as the observer or wielder of control who may have put them on the ride. Watching a horror slasher movie is the same thrill, do we want the victim to get killed or get away from the knife wielding maniac, do we think the Vic should die for being so trusting or gullible?
