All That I Could See

Phew, I always forget about the character limit on DD, hopefully I broke that up in OK spots

I was taking a break from writing Out of their Element with all the crazy life happenings going on, when I was suddenly inspired to write this story that’s been bouncing around in my head for a little while. It was such a pleasure and the perfect way to stretch out those writing muscles again~ (and while I’m still insanely busy and the progress is slow, the momentum has spilled over to Oote too so hooray!) Also, a huge thank you to my friend and sensitivity reader on this

By the way, I made an AO3 account if you’d prefer to follow my stories there! https://archiveofourown.org/users/littlest_lily

Wow! Great story- I love the dynamic these two have. I’ve once or twice played with the idea of a blind big with a seeing tiny- but never wrote anything with the idea so this was such a treat to read.
Cameron and Naomi have a lot of future potential as well! Thanks for writing this. -
Downright adorable is what it is.
Stop stealing my comments!
I remain envious of your industry. Do you plan to keep this one just from Cameron’s POV?

There are so many wonderful lines, I should have kept better track of them
great job, a lovely read! -

Would love to see your take on the concept too~ It’s definitely been on my idea list for a while - I have a friend who has the same condition as Cameron so this touches on things very near and dear to my heart.

I am very lucky that creative projects are usually my forms of stress relief. And that’s a good question, I’m not sure! This is just meant to be a one-off short story, but I do have other ideas for what could happen if I’m ever inspired to revisit these characters.

great job, a lovely read!Ahhh that is so kind, thank yooouuu

I keep having moments of pausing and wondering “should I share my stuff here? There’s nothing sexual in this one at all, there isn’t even anything romantic!” And then you guys always warm my heart

It all contributes to the collective faith in, as Aborigen put it, Someplace This Was Real.

“Don’t worry, I’m not gonna get launched into the stratosphere if you try to lift me up.”
Watch out, Cameron… trust me, that can happen sometimes!

That was amazing, again. Love the dynamic between a self-conscious ‘clumsy’ giant, unsure and fearful of hurting the tiny, while she’s used to her size and confident in her abilities. Very refreshing!
Other senses being magnified plays very well in a size difference scenario. Hearing Naomi as she’s climbing up to his shoulder, close to his ear; Feeling tingles as she’s moving around; annnd of course - the sense of touch, argh - tiny fingers hugs are the best hugs.

Thank you for sharing this.

I may have had inspiration for that hahahaha
Thank you for reading!! Yess, my first thought about a blind biggo with smol friend was how sweet the symbiosis would be. My second thought was how the biggo’s condition would potentially help him appreciate her at her small size more than anyone, in part with the heightened senses. And even my (normie) sensitivity reader - the first thing she said when I was just telling her the general premise was “ohh, that’s so perfect, because she’d actually be small enough that he could have an easier time seeing her!” which is exactly what I was going for
