An appreciation for GIANTS

I like GT, but for modern settings it’s inherently limiting in a way that a SW story isn’t, because you can just have a small woman live in a house, somewhere, easily. Where does a giant live?
There’s just a lot of basic needs and creature comforts that can’t really be accommodated if a random person just goes big, between food (an SW can eat crumbs), water (a lake? Enjoy the fish poop), somewhere to stay (a warehouse? in the woods?) and so on that gets in the way of the fantasy part, at least for me. And, sure, part of it is my brain thinking too much about it, but the problem does remain unless you’re doing a one-shot.
And an SW can slip under the radar, but a giant is… noticeable. So the media and the government is going to be a thing…
Personally, I like settings that are just build around giants, either a fantasy where they’re natural, or a modern one where giants are just… a thing (this is something I’ve seen to great effect before, where people randomly turn into giants and over time they started being accommodated and live a ‘normal’ life, and I’m picturing my own version), or there’s just magic or something to wave off the problem…
But I drag on. Point being, SW stories are easy because my next door neighbor could have a harem of little women and no one would ever know, but just one giant just requires a lot of things.

@i-am-insane I’m 100% with you on this! Being shrunk is not only a loss of power for me, but a gain of control for him too. The scene is simpler, less or no other parties involved, which means I can just focus on the relationship between him and myself.
I also enjoy Giants for one-shot stories, because honestly, I’m just getting off to the raw power, destruction, etc. The alternative to the power-hungry Giant is a Giant asking tinies for help with things that can be private or degrading. Imagine him having to ask teeny people to help him eat, find a place to wash himself, use the bathroom, housing, etc. I just don’t think often of the later, unless that Giant eventually becomes power-hungry after having had enough of relying on tiny people.

Content creation takes time and effort, and it can get frustrating when the subject is a niche among niches. So I just want to thank you to anyone who creates or created giant men content along those lines.
Thank you for this. I am so happy that there is at least an audience for this type of story. It might be a small audience, but it’s an appreciative one.
Writing a good story takes me so long. I’ve been a dormant writer for a few months now. Real-life needs are seriously impacting the time and effort I have available for writing M/f. And, since I know my favorite type of stories are genuinely rare, I feel a little guilty to not be more active. I can process that emotion on my own, don’t worry about me, but I seriously look forward to putting out another story with a focus on the giant man as soon as I can.
I have two main male growth stories in my head, both very early in their drafts, but all of my free time is being spent on career improvement junk instead of writing. (Kill me now.)
I love how this site encourages making more of my favorite type of stories. It really is a gem. And I love the tiny women readers!

I’m a huge fan of your work and I know how real life gets in the way. Please know that people appreciate your work and that they understand that stories can often be delayed. I’m looking forward to those male growth stories that you’re working on (whenever life gives you a break, of course).

@tiny-ivy it’s the classic case right? Totally understand: it’s tough and frustrating to have so little time already to engage with things, let alone to create a thing too. I’m sure you don’t want to half-ass it either - for others, but also for yourself. It takes a lot of time and energy, so thank you for whatever you are able to give to your fellow size fans, especially all of us towards the M/f side of things

@tiny-ivy
As a would be writer and as a fan, I get that writing, especially with real life is hard. As a fan, I am almost pathetically grateful for any content we get in this niche-as-fuck fetish.We’ll take what you can when you can, but don’t beat yourself up when you’re not up for it. We need to support each other, after all.

@miss-lillipants I do and some images are posted on my deviantart

Yes, huge men need more appreciation! I honestly don’t care If m/f has growing or shrinking in it, since it’s so hard to find I can’t really be too picky about. But I do really like ginormous boys and I am sometimes in the mood for non SW m/f. If you are a gigantic boy, you are loved and valid no matter what
