Heya, everybody. I’ve returned from wandering the dark void to ask a quick question regarding y’alls thoughts on excited tinies.
I’m currently writing a big long story, and I need a bit of quick info.
What would you imagine a shrinkee to be like if they were excited to be shrunken? Would they be gazing up at everything in awe, squeaky voices a-chirping with excitement and wonder? Running around madly, a giddy euphoria filling their tiny bodies as they tried to grasp just how much bigger the world had become to them?
Idk. So let me know what you guys think.

@starslayer Yeah I could see that. Someone that sees being made tiny as an adventure. Travelling from bedroom canyon to the plains of the kitchen to join the family for breakfast. Then to Mount Living Room couch for a nice vigorous morning climb. Not all people made tiny have to be victims or as punishment. Or even of that’s how their made small doesn’t mean they can’t find a bright side.

“I can’t work now that I’m five inches tall. Guess I can focus on my art like I always wanted.”

The question here, I think, depends on the (theoretical) person: who are they? What are they into? How much are they even aware of it? How brave are they?

I’m not into the tiny end, but I’ve heard enough from the tiny section to know they’ve gotten into for reasons that range from ‘wanting to explore big things while small’ to ‘wanting to understand their dolls’. Sometimes they want to be taken care of, like a favored doll, sometimes they want to be used like a doll. Maybe they just like big guys and didn’t realize just how big they liked them.

So much of this kind of thing is personalized that the reaction is going to depend on that perspective, how much they’ve thought of it (someone into it, who has thought about being shrunk, is going to take being shrunk a lot better than someone who didn’t realize they were into it, and that fact implies they’ve fantasized about it, maybe done some research on the internet…), so ultimately, you either need to make a reaction around a character and how she would act (someone proud of their authority or power, for example, would take being shrunk badly at first even if they were into it), or figure out how you want her to act, and build her personality/background around that reaction.

          Power is choice.

@starslayer I think the best way I can answer this is describing my own experience being small… in VR! Because as much as I enjoy the idea of being tiny, I know that if it was real there would still be quite a bit of fear there - not sure how much you want to delve into that aspect in your story. However it’s obviously safe in VR, so I was free to really enjoy it. I definitely did a lot of looking around at how big everything was and explored, but what I was most excited about was meeting giants and fellow tinies. I felt a bit shy at first (and honestly a bit intimidated by the size difference), but once I got over that I kept having to remind myself that giants need personal space too, because it was just sooo exciting to be picked up and interacted with. So once I made friends I became more liberal about hugging fingers, climbing up in their lap or on their shoe, basically harrying them for attention 😆

If you’d like to support me and my work, please feel free to leave me a tip and I will be so grateful! https://ko-fi.com/littlestlily
