    • RE: Disaster and confrontation

@Olo I know - one thing that helps me keeping a connection with the young folks is having someone at home who’s clos(er) to that generation and doesn’t mind explaining his old man what’s what these days.

I also like to generate AI renders with 35-40 year olds sometimes, without them looking like supermodels or pretty boys. Strangely it’s harder to get the AI to generate just plain normal looking moms or dads lol.

    • RE: Militsioner

@tiny-ivy Yes I know about Molyneaux and his sad story, I don’t think he’s involved with the latest Fable, the one with the sizey elements we’ve seen in the teasers? I hope not!

But yeah I was a fan of Bullfrog and I played Populous on my brother’s computer (thanks to him I could play games my parents wouldn’t have wanted me to play lol)

Never got into Dungeon Keeper, but heard they are classics. My other favourite was a cyberpunk one called Syndicate, you had missions to complete with a team of agents, didn’t understand it too much but setting people on fire never got old 😁

    • RE: Language barrier

@miss-lillipants When you’re part of a linguistic minority, you learn quickly not to take your language - and culture - for granted!

I love the idea of communication across the boundaries of language (and, unsuprinsingly, size). What I can imagine is a three inch tall mute woman trying to sign to me, but she’s too small for my poor eyesight to catch her signs - or I don’t know BSL/ASL.

So, plan B : she starts to trace the letters on the palm of my hand (with a twig or something). That’s assuming we share a common written language, of course. I have no idea how I’d communicate back if she’s also deaf, but that’s a start! 😁

@miss-lillipants I’m not done reading but I’m already loving it! I’ll admit I’m a sucker for Stockholm Syndrome stories 😵

I’ve had problems with Batoto from my end, pictures not loading but I found that LunaToons worked perfectly:

Thank you so much for sharing!

    • RE: Taste

@Olo Same goes for experimenting things outside one’s comfort zone, that’s often how you can grow (no pun intended). Which is also close to my own definition of art in general : does it make me feel something? Am I enthralled or disgusted?

The opposite of art is not ugliness, it’s indifference.

my interest in tiny women is both sexual and non-sexual

Same, and that got me in trouble in the past with people who only see the kinky, sexual side. This forum is way more friendly to accommodate both kinds, than some others out there.

@blehb said in Looking for source of this GIF:

Or maybe because I’m a woman, and I feel like women with strange kinks are seen as less creepy than men are. (Not that that’s fair, just seems to be the bias people have.)

Absolutely! I never mentionned it beause I don’t want to sound like I’m wallowing up in self-pity, but it’s likely the main reason I’ve never told any women I cared about. I’d fear of being forever labeled as a weirdo, whereas I feel women can “come out” without facing the same stigma (again, might be societal bias at work here).

@littlest-lily said in What is your earliest memory of having this fetish?:

      1. sometimes as a kid I’d get paranoid that I was bothering friends with too many shrinking games, but in this case they were really engaged, and I love it when the giant is just as excited about the size difference as I am.

Whoa, wait - shrinking games? You had those, too?! OMG my poor normie friends were subjected sooo many times to my pretend games of shrinking. I stopped bringing them up when I started to get the feeling they were on to me. 😯 Children have such amazing interior worlds and imagination!

I’m amazed how common all our stories are - even from the other gender/size of things. Incredible I thought for so long I was the only one, and that there was something profundly wrong with me. 😥

Having more content to enjoy is a lucky thing!

True, that’s why I envy bisizual switchers, makes it that much easier to find new content!

      @blehb said in Shrinking Abilities:

But I’ve read opinions in the past where people say it’s seeing the shrinking process itself that does it for them

Oh believe me I know! You’re talking to someone who was banned on The Process Forum because I had posted media w/ no process in it.

Should have known with the forum’s name but I didn’t think they were religious about it. To be fair that was 15+ years ago, the admin was a bit of a dick, and SW was only just tolerated back then.

@Giant-Man-1984 Thanks for sharing the clip! That scene took me by surprise, Marvel has let me down so many times I’d rather expect nothing but holy crap that one did not disappoint. 😍

    • RE: zHEIGHTgeist

@Olo Thanks for sharing, just listened to both episodes and I hope down the road there will be one fully dedicated to SW…

Also, the neuropsychological aspects are fascinating, I think it would be such a great topic of serious research. I would gladly volunteer hours of my time for such a study.

just haven’t gotten the courage to record myself lol

I think we all hate hearing our voices! 😧 Listening to my own is cringy torture, in English it’s even worse with my thick French-Canadian accent lol.

    • RE: Language barrier

That’s a nice solution, much simpler to implement than actually knowing a complete language. Even the terms used for descriptions in English might change as the understanding grows (ie. “giant captor” --> “giant savior”)

      @blehb said in Language barrier:

For example: The tiny woman stared up at the giant captor, fighting back tears as she clasped her hands together and softly said “Ni nathathol?”

My Sindarin is a bit rusty but during the solar eclipse last week, at totality my daughter turned to me and said “mornië alantië!” which made me tear up a bit (and a very proud father lol)
