I don’t want to be a Thread Necromancer but everytime I think of a subject, there’s already one for it, lol. But I still wanted to chime in because I think in my case, reality and fantasy may intersect a bit, maybe not in the way that you think.

If I’m being honest, I think growing up as a teen the idea of shrinking girls also conflated with making them more accessible, as a way to cope with shyness and social anxiety. Thus, unconsciously, imagining them a few inches tall made it easier to initiate social interactions. Shorter girls were simply less intimidating to me, but also lowkey triggered some basic aspects of my kink. Like, the will to protect them, their overall cuteness… there were definitely some lines blurred between my imagination and reality.

At the end of the day, it’s just a preference (like, I dunno, redheads… ), and of course I don’t base my entire relationships around that factor alone, but the fact is: none of my partners have ever been taller than 5’2". My ex is 4’10", now me being only 5’8" it’s not such a crazy height difference. That being said I never got the hate against short girls who want to date 6’+ men. Gatekeeping size difference, WTF… always felt like comments from incels or frustrated short “kings”.

So it was on the mighty list after all! It’s basically a 4 minutes non-stop G/t video filled with cute scenes, and yes the effects are still very good, even compared to more recent stuff we’ve seen. Soo good.

Yup, I had a look but when I saw the sheer size of the list I noped. I’ll have a look around for sure. Although I’m now being told it might be from an old commercial (what were they selling? I’m buying! )

I wouldn’t, first and foremost because even if I get off fantasizing about shrinking, thinking about its consequences IRL really kills all the fun for me. My mind and imagination are free of such restrictions of course, but I’ve learned (or, rather, am learning) that having these thoughts and imagining those scenarios do not define who I really am, and how I act IRL.

Like others have said, if I pretend for a second that such a thing is possible… let’s say with her full consent, reversibility and safety (and somehow going against physics and the law of conversion of mass), well, sure, let’s try!

I played the piano when I was younger, can’t pretend I never imagined…

I always chickened out of using shrinking potions as a plot device in my campaigns, sadly

Not 100% satisfied but getting closer to that insect-sized feeling and perspective

This one I imagined while taking a walk, turned out eerily close to reality (minus the SW, of course)

Yay for oversized clothes, I always liked when GFs wore one of my sweaters or hoodies, got my imagination going

@littlest-lily I haven’t caught up with that chapter of your story yet, but you should know that simply mentionning “poutine” is enough to summon a Québécois… Annnnnd of course now I want one!

@Olo true enough, maybe it’s easier for me to enjoy as-is since I haven’t watched the show yet (other than the few videos and discussions I’ve seen here and online), so I’m not as invested in her character.

Shrinking being tied to an emotional state has always been a favorite of mine, of course the showrunners went with “negative emotions == shrinking”, but that doesn’t really need to be the case.
