    • RE: Something to get off my chest

@Giant-Gripper Thank you, I feel less envious of them now. Even though they have far more content than we do. We tend to have less toxicity then they have, we also have a great sense of community. As they say, quality over quantity.

Also to try and make people and myself feel better about the M/f community have a lot less content than the F/m, here some positives about being in a small community :),
A thing I like about being in the M/f community, it could just be me, but I feel as if there is more of a focus on people’s individuality in their art style. Because there is less content, your art tends to get drowned out less by other artists and there is less competition. As a person who likes to make art and has done so on this site before, I can confirm there is more emphasis on the uniqness of others artstyle. For instance @Dirtybun is a very talented artist, if I am not mistaken they go by x2dirtybun on DA (also happy birthday if you are reading this). Out of all the gts content I have seen, I don’t think I will ever find a person like her in the F/m community. She has such well designed ocs and her shading is such a unique style. There is also @littlest-lily who is great on both her writing and drawing. I have not read all her works(I’m a slow reader), but I have read some of raindrops on the windowsill and there is a great emphasis on emotion. I feel as if her works aren’t just unique in the size community but in writing as a whole to me.
Another thing that is great is that there is no competition, if there is it’s very minuscule. The art world does tend to get competitive. And so there does tend to get quite a bit of tension in it. But since this community has no competition, it has a relaxed feel.
Those were just some positives from my experience. I hope this made anyone feel better. As Jitensha said, “fight for love because you deserve it”.

(Disclaimer: just to be safe, I am not trying to say the M/f community is better than the F/m community in anyway. Also if you are wondering if I have a DA, I am sorry to say that I only use it as a guest)

@Olo Very creative scenario, a great mixture of horror, suspense, and mystery. The cherry on top is that it’s sizey.

    • RE: Does size have the potential of going above and beyond a fetish community?

@AnnDViant Tbh I kind of was mainly talking about Sfw size becoming mainstream.

I was looking at Sfw g/t one time on DA and thought it has potential appeal to a large audience mainly those involved in fandom. About the fetish aspect of size, I don’t think it will get super popular. The size community has become more than just a fetish community, so I wonder if people may someday see that. Then again, DA has some niche stuff in general.

But I understand it may not turning out as popular as furries because it takes more imagination to play out.

Size scenarios have a lot of potential though because they create great angst and suspension, also they give characters unique bonds imao.

So who knows if size may attract more than just kinky people or more kinky people as macrophilia becomes more than just gigantic women.

    • RE: DeviantArt Content Policies

The life of a size kinkster is sifting through mountains of crap to find that one tiny gem.

Also my life as a macrophilic asexual woman into M/f, got to dig through all the GTS and sexual content that I can’t handle to find that M/f picture that triggers that deep sense of excitement and warmth. So rewarding when I find it.

    • The dominant tiny/submissive giant trope

A lot of people, especially outside the size community, have this misconception that being tiny means your always submissive or being gigantic means your always dominant. As someone who strictly identifies as a tiny, I really enjoy my moments where I am submissive but I also want to try being dominant and overpowering the giant. I understand that it takes more thought to play these scenarios out which must be why this is rare. I imagine myself as a dominant tiny by me having various items or abilities to control the giant: I could have dangerous powers, have technology such as a device to shock him to discipline him, I could be an exceptional fighter and be able to scale his power, and many more ideas I hope to come up with. What are your thoughts on this trope?

(I know that I made a post called “Badass women in M/f scenarios.” But that post was more focused on women overcoming their situation being shrunk and I didn’t really explore the dom tiny / sub giant much. If anyone disagrees and thinks this post is too similar to the other post, I’d be more than happy to take this one down. I wish to not make posts on repetitive topics because I care deeply about the browsing experience on this site)

    • RE: Does anyone feel this way about F/m

@i-am-insane said in Does anyone feel this way about F/m:

      @TakoAlice8

More seriously, I get the overly empathetic bit- whenever I try to come with ideas I like from stories I like, a lot of general story concepts I like have the big be… well. Kind of a dick? All of the bullying and threatening and killing and stuff.

And I like that, except I don’t want to do that to someone. Or, honestly, even watch that done to someone… even though I do? I only really want it in the fictional concept, but the second I try to picture me writing something like that there’s too much of me in the giant to do it.

Inside me there’s two giants fighting over how to deal with fetish material and the conflict is leaving my ability to make a story in shambles.

I like M/f scenarios where the larger person makes fun of or teases the smaller person, not to bully but to provoke the tiny person. It just has that annoying older sibling dynamic. The larger person is being mean but they aren’t being abusive mean. It’s a lighter version of the bullying.

I also like it when the larger person tires to scare the smaller person by showing his teeth at her. It’s a lighter version of the killing to me.

    • RE: Why do you want to be shrunk?

the overwhelming arrogance and confidence seems to make it better.

This may seem strange but I dig a giant with arrogance, confidence and smugness 😳

    • I have a g/t anime recomendation

I highly recommend watching Robotech The Macross Saga. It is a mecha sci fi retro anime.

The Macross saga is about a city who goes into space and try to defend themselves from the aliens the Zentraedi. According to the humans the Zentraedi are enormous, according the the Zentraedi the humans are “micronians”.

Other than that it’s g/t. The music is really good, the characters are well developed and well designed, the voice acting is good, the plot is concise, and the antagonists are complex.

    • RE: Essay on giant women

@Nyx I totally agree with that. I get that giantess is a way for men to deconstruct gender roles in a way. But it’s not deconstruction of gender roles or any better than the societal gender roles we have if you are trying to shove a gender into a different box(e.g. a man trying to force women they encounter to be a giantess). Generalization of a gender isn’t empowering. Being gigantic may be empowering to some woman but it’s not a universal empowerment woman as a whole, vise versa with being tiny.
