We all are tired of seeing love triangles shoe horned into lots of media. It is one of the most hated tropes in fiction. It is not a rare site to see people groan at love triangles.

But do people groan at sizey love triangles? While I don’t like seeing two people simultaneously flirt with one person. I do think it would be incredibly engaging to see two gigantic men with a tiny women.
I would be very entertained with them fighting over her like two children fighting over a toy kaijuu style. Or they could decide to share her and play with her together. Maybe they decide to take turns with her, “Mom says it’s my turn to play with the tiny.”
There are so many possibilities but those were some scenarios I could come up with.

Do you agree with me that sizey love triangles are better? Or is it a cringy trope no matter what?

      Just chillin down here.

Also I only feel comfortable with being tiny.

I wasn’t aware that love triangles had fallen into disfavor, but I’m notoriously out of touch with current trends.

In my experience, love triangles are a common development in size fantasy with creators who feel they have worn out standard pairings and want to mix things up. It often produces gratifying results.

I, for one, would have endless fun with two tiny ladies who were jealous of each other and fought to be considered my favorite.

I guess I’m not into “love triangles” as much as I am into “love stories complicated by the presence of giants”. I guess it’s a love triangle when your girlfriend is kidnapped by a horny monster? Or when you and your partner are both shrunk and tortured by the same jealous man?

I usually prefer one on one attention from a Giant but I sorta like the idea of two Giants fighting over me lol
Just as long as they don’t tug at my limbs 😬

I mean, a GT, GT, sw triangle is effectively ruined by the fact that it isn’t a love triangle, it’s two guys fighting over a toy. Unless they’re very considerate, the woman’s opinion isn’t going to be relevent to who she ends up with.

On the other hand, a sw, sw/normal, GT triangle, no matter the focus, has potential, because then the person choosing isn’t automatically overwhelmed by their options (whether the small choosing between small and big, or the big choosing between smalls)… unless the GT takes the third option and goes OT3.

Admittedly, I am fond of that last dynamic, to the point where I’m working on a story around it, but still.

                  Power is choice.

@TakoAlice8 Two love-struck giants fighting over a tiny woman and potentially destroying a city in the process? I love that idea so much 😍

@Olo I heard a lot people really don’t like the trope. I don’t know if it’s falling out of favor.

I guess that’s a better way to put that scenario. To me it does kind of give off love triangle vibes which is why I put it in the post.

@TakoAlice8 That’s just exciting! Maybe you mean, like acting “yandere” towards the tiny woman? (Sorry for using anime terminology).

I find love triangles really frustrating (not in a good way), but if I had to pick a typical classic triangle dynamic, it would also be two giants fighting over one lady. And if chaos ensues, have at it.

Otherwise, I’ve been appreciating scenarios where all three are enjoying each other’s company. It may be a part of me where I like to see everyone get along, but I like imagining a tiny lady getting smooshed and pleasured as she’s caught between the huge powerful bodies of two hot fellas.

@Peep Yandere is not really what I had in mind. But I like that idea too.

I think part of why I don’t particularly like love triangles is because it generally means that one person’s going to end up unhappy, and that’s kinda sad. But I think the bigger reason is because I think love triangles are rarely done well. I dunno, I’ve seen so many where it’s very obvious who the person is going to end up “choosing” and it feels like so much time is wasted on pointless drama that doesn’t really accomplish anything. But if a love triangle is done well then I’m totally open to it – and add a size element to the mix and I’m far more likely to be interested!

Yeah, if you look at it as a tool for romance stories, the main pairing is usually pre-established, even if it doesn’t happen until the end, so there’s no real drama when X character is torn between character Y and Z, because the summery spells out it was always going to be Z. It especially doesn’t help if Z isn’t that good of a character for whatever reason, and Y, who is much more sympathetic, seems to be written in only to be used a tool to fuel Z’s relationship.
